Katy Posted 8 September 2005 Share Posted 8 September 2005 Jerusalem Written by William Blake And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England's mountains green And was the holy lamb of God On England's pleasant pastures seen And did the countenance divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills And was Jerusalem builded there Among those dark Satanic mills Bring me my bow (my bow) of burning gold Bring me my arrows of desire Bring me my spears o'clouds unfold Bring me my chariot of fire I will not cease from mental fight Nor shall my (my) sword sleep in hand 'Til we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land 'Til we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land England

davieG Posted 8 September 2005 Share Posted 8 September 2005 It gets me everytime, beats the dirge of god save the queen! Anything beats that, besides it's the British National anthem not the English so why use it represent England, use it at the Olympics but not when England are playing. Mind you becomes a bit difficult with the Cricket Team who are actually something like the English and Welsh Cricket Board that has the occasional Scot playing for them, confused you bet. Cat Burger Posted 8 September 2005 Share Posted 8 September 2005 Think Warne's a bit tired now and Ponting has no faith in any of the other bowlers, but still 174 needs a lot of work.
