Ric Flair Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Has gone on loan to Southend for a month. Not sure if it's already been posted.
JoeyB Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Link Striker Eric Odhiambo has joined Southend United on a month's loan. The 18-year-old, a product of the Youth Academy, helped the Under-18s clinch the FA Premier Academy League Trophy last season. He made his Foxes first-team debut in the 3-2 Carling Cup defeat to Aston Villa last October. Odhiambo will travel with the Shrimpers squad to Brighton ahead of their League One clash tomorrow afternoon.
TheBlinding Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Will be a good move for him, better than coming off the bench for 4 or 5 minutes once a month.
Bryn Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Great move for him. I'd imagine Rudkin sanctioned this, and he'd know better than anyone.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Excellent stuff. This sort of thing will be the making of players like Odhiambo and Gradel. Gradel seems to be doing well down at Bournemouth. Hopefully Odhiambo will impress too.
Father Ted Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Good move. Lets just hope he is on top form and scores plenty!
Simon Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Great move for him. I'd imagine Rudkin sanctioned this, and he'd know better than anyone. Exactomundo. Will be a great experience for him in a decent Southend side.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 He should do well there, hopefully he can do enough to get an extended stay.
James. Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Odi who? Odihambo. It's not difficult. Yes, very good move for him. Let's hope we get a Southend supporter on here to give us some feedback...
Wils Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Should be in our first team. Did Thracian type that?
Geo V Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 He`ll come back the new Freddy Eastwood . Its a good move as long as he features in the first team. Like all youngsters, he needs experience so good on the management to sanction this deal.
Toby or not Toby Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 A move to a hopefull top half side can only be off benefit to him in my opinion, hopefully will impress there!
Mort Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Good club and a decent League for a youngster to go into on loan... so long as it gets time of the pitch, he should do well and should help him develop no end, the likes of Dodds and Gradel seem to be doing really well out on loan, no reason to think Eric wont as well.
Lillehamring Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 he certainly seemed to be benefiting for his loan to 'carnavore restaurant' in kenya - looked very happy... was getting involved with a good bunch of lads...
Joe. Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Superb move for him, at least he's going off to a decent ish level of football. I really hope he gets his first team chances there and suceeds.
Raj Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Good prospect, needs the football. Good luck to the kidda
Milky Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Lee Bradbury has left on a free, which is probably the reason for this deal. I'm hopeful he'll get some game time.
samlcfc1 Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 ha ha theres a pic of sappleton not eric www.southendunited.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10444~1103016,00.html have to copy and paste it!
surrifox Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 Odihambo. It's not difficult. Yes, very good move for him. Let's hope we get a Southend supporter on here to give us some feedback... more difficult than you think
Jonbluefox9 Posted 31 August 2007 Posted 31 August 2007 He impressed a lot last season for the under 18s and this is the natural next step for him seeing as he played a bit of reserve team football back in 2005/06. Can only be good for him.
