Do you actually care about going up as champions?

Its now looking less and less likely that we will win the league with our poor form and peterboroughs run. but do you care so long as we go up?

Going up is the most important thing obviously. I respect that, and in the long run I'll be happy as long as we get that. But I really, really want top spot. It would be a great bonus, and it'd be nice after us only being 2nd the last time we got promoted.

As long as we get out of this tinpot micky mouse league, I don't care if we win it or not. Peterborough can take it for all I care.

This.

It might be annoying that we blew it as champions but the players will soon forget once were back in the championship. I doubt there is a significant difference in prize money also.

right on who cares even if we stagger over the line getting promoted is the only thing that matters

Well the players still think we've already won it, they seem oblivious to the fact that if you take your foot off the peddle the opposition don't!

On a positive note, thank god we got the points that we did in the first half of the season or we would be looking at playoffs at best.

I said that to my brother the other night. We should be grateful for our excellent first half of the season where we took everyone by storm.

We could be in the play-offs at this rate. :frusty:

Fair enough. I'm in no mood for optimism at the minute. No doubt when i've slept on it i won't feel as downhearted. :P

With the position we had, it would be embarrassing not to go up as champions.

This.

Everyone in Leicester - the club, the Mercury, Stringer, fans - went on and on about the unbeaten run, and since it came to an end (well, before that, actually) we've been poor, scraping results in unlikely circumstances - Millwall and Bristol - and playing badly in games we should have strolled.

From the position we've been in almost all season long, we know appear to be in disarray. If Nigel Pearson says "there will be twists and turns" again I swear I will scream. All the philosophy in the world won't hide the fact that the players are not functioning as a unit any more - instead of being a team fighting for a clear objective, we look like eleven men looking for someone to blame. That's not championship material. I don't know what has gone wrong on the inside - whether some players think the job is done, or some have got pissed off about team selection, or perhaps word has started to leak out about plans for next year and those not featuring are unhappy about it - but something is seriously wrong in the City camp.

Nigel, sort it out!

Any fan who's watched us for the last 6/7 years can be forgiven for having a pessimistic doom laden outlook re Leicester City FC and their ability to fook things up.

Couldnt care less if we won the league just want to go up now.

Plus winning the league could give the coaching staff/manager false expectations regarding these players next year.

Not if they've been watching any of the last eight matches it won't.

We're happy that the season is about to end. Imagine if we had hit this shit form in Jan/Feb, we'd be in the play offs.

If our defeats and draws was spread out more evenly rather than getting them all now, I don't think people wouldn't be this critical. On the whole, I agree with you, but everyone in this league has gone through a shit phase. We are just dead unfortunate that ours is happening now at the most crucial time.

We'll eventually make it out of this tinpot slum. It'll be nice to get the title, but I'm really not bothered in the slightest to be honest.
