Master Fox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 It's all over. It was fun while it lasted (2 months) Back to being rubbish AGAIN Goodbye
Callabinho Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Corner shop, basket of ale...sit in my chair and cry
cc_star Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 We needed 8 wins before tonight & we still need 8 wins
dave the caveman Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Seriously though, anyone who still thinks we can make the playoffs is just mindblowingly deluded. We have absolutely no chance at all. Send back all the loanees and start fielding youngsters.
stivesfox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Oh well Sousa ruined this season in 9 games, Sven has done his best, but not good enough I am sure this season he will have learnt about the English championship, personally time to send Yakubu back save 50k give some young kid a chance. Yakubu came here lots of hope and promise nothing short of shit, I was at loftus road on saturday and he hardly moves. Best thing now enjoy the last 10 games lets rebuild the playing side ready for next season, Svens biggest cock up was changing goalies, in fairness Saturday the lads played well again didnt take our chances. Depressing season thanks Paulo
Callabinho Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Norwich i mean Norwich...... Pffft, What doe's next season hold?
Socks Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 We needed 8 wins before tonight & we still need 8 wins nah aint gonna happen stivesfox is right, biggest cock up, changing goalie... forget the play offs and get rid of the shitty loanees and build for next season (if Sven stays, I doubt he will)
funkyrobot Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Don't blame Sousa, blame mandaric. He's the one that got rid of Pearson for no good reason
Haydos Posted 8 March 2011 Author Posted 8 March 2011 Don't blame Sousa, blame mandaric. He's the one that got rid of Pearson for no good reason It's funny because you're not joking.
Zingari Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 We needed 8 wins before tonight & we still need 8 wins there's probably some Preston fans still believe this is all they need to do to avoid relegation
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 I'm not an over-reactionary but it probably is a case of planning for next season now. It would've been a Herculean task had we actually managed to make the play-offs considering the start we had (which a lot of people seem to be forgetting), but we haven't helped ourselves these past few games. We shouldn't be dropping points against Coventry and Norwich at home if we want to break that top six. Past few games have been poor, just hope people don't lambast the team considering the play-off places were so distant when Sven took charge. Appears as though as soon as they became acheivable, it was almost expected from the fans. That incredible run had to come to end at some point, although I don't think anybody expected it to come to such a shuddering holt. It's surely a sign that we're not ready, not yet anyway, and perhaps we'll benefit from this. Any fans that dwell on this poor run instead of appreciating that cracking set of results which made the play-offs a realistic possibility have no hope. We need a lot of signings in the summer, four decent acquisitions over the park to give us a solid spine. Top needs to splash the cash like he already has so that we're not just a force in this league, but capable in the Premier League too. I'm gutted right now after it looked as though we'd be THAT team that comes from nowhere to break into the play-offs, but it's not the end of the world. We'll rag this league next term if we get pre-season right. No question. That's something to look forward to. We won't be giving sides a ten game headstart next campaign.
Callabinho Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 It's funny because you're not joking. Well at least Sheff Wed is backfiring!
ousefox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Have to say it's over now. 2.3 points per game is virtually impossible. Don't know why things had to be changed from when we were having our good spell- Ricardo in for Weale, Bruma in, Oakley in, change of formation. Oh well, there's always next season...... Oh and i feel a hell of a lot worse tonight than i did when we lost to cardiff in the playoffs.
wurmer Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 ... THAT team look like being Burnley... FFS, BURNLEY!
stivesfox Posted 8 March 2011 Posted 8 March 2011 Sousa is to blame as much as Mandaric he had the whole of july to bring players in to play his style of football, never in a miilion years could hobbs and morrison play his style, nor could Fryatt play a lone striker role.! He never got the players fit, Mandaric is to blame as he was dishonest and treated the previous manager to Sousa like shit. Sven inherited a squad poor on fitness poor on morale, to be fair he has done his best. Sousa had taken over a club of players that played the continental style he would be the best manager going, you cant get load of grafters and change them to play stylish
