Because he was rubbish. He's been awful on February
-
Not too disappointed as we were the better team at elland road 9 times out of 10 we win that. If we got hammered, I would be concerned we could drop away but we will be fine ...

No

Never seen a striker so uncomfortable Infront of goal
-
The officials and tiredness killed us today. Another day that's 4-0 by 70 mins. We play like that for the rest of the season and we will win the League. Got no luck today
-
Why are the officials in the Championship so bad. I thought Craig Pawson was meant to be Premier League level but he has been awful so far.
-
That lad has potentially ended a career at the top level for Alves. He should be able to be held accountable through the justice system
-
It also looked looked like they tried to maintain a high back line where possibly in the first half (tried to stay out of their final quarter where possible) and then were very compact infront of their back 5 Therefore if they won the ball they had players already high up the pitch who could try and expose our lack of pace on the counter attack. The second goal was like this. Sheffield Wednesday tried also tried a similar strategy in the second half against us in the match before.

Agreed. Southampton away was also a big win in an very key game at the start of the season
-
Shame we are losing Ndidi again against Leeds. I think Winks, KDH and Ndidi would boss the midfield leading to a comfortable win against them. Now I'm not so confident. We need to get tour press working again to win this similar to the press in the Southampton match.

A CM signing would have been nice. But our squad should easily be good enough to win the league considering the 9 points lead we currently have. No excuses

Middlesbrough (H) 1-2 - Post-Match Thread

Fro my view it looked like that winks half volley was heading straight for the top corner at pace but a brilliant last ditch block stopped that going in. -
I will take a point. They will play more expansive than Middlesbrough did today so hopefully we can take them. Also KDH, Mavididi, Fatawu should be fresher after being subbed early today and we need them all performing to win this match
-
Boro played a very similar system as Sheffield wednesday on the second half with five at the back, compact but also trying to keep a relatively high line in the first half so they could hurt us on the counter. But they were better at it than Sheffield Wednesday. More teams will try to play that way against us but hopefully we will be more clinical to see us through those games. Doubt Leeds will play that defensive though at home - they won't change the way they play looking at their recent form
-
Think Faes was more at fault for their goals today - shot out of the defensive line for the first and lost his battle to let them in. But vestergaard always gets the blame

Horror shows a bit extreme. We missed so many chances. Another day those go in and we win that despite gifting them two goals -
Sensi could have been....
-
Suits this system as gets much more protection than the very attacking Rodgers ball. I suspect Enzo will surround him with pace next season and build the defence around him as he is probably his second most important player behind Winks. Never rated him but now eat my words. He's my Player of the Season and deserves a contract. Fair play.
-
It is scary how much he has developed over this season. He's improved his final ball so much and his work rate. If he can improve his finishing (which I'm sure he will judging on how much he's developed in other areas), we will have a very valuable asset once again at the club.

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Post Match Thread

Agreed. Although controversially I enjoyed Praet's performance today. His runs into the half space on the right hand side opened up a lot of space for Fatawu in the first half. Also he should have had at least one assist in the second half if Dewsbury Hall took his chance. -
Choudhury came on as a 6 and winks went to 8. That's a more defensive change than bringing on yunus at 8.

Is it Rudkin who is accountable for this mess we are in financially which is preventing any transfer business and allowing players to stay on massive wages? Or is it actually our Commercial Director, who reports into our CEO, more accountable? Seems to be caused more directly by financial issues than football operations (although I appreciate the two are always linked by cause and effect).
-
Very annoying transfer saga but no doubt that he will sign on a free in the summer
-
I like Doyle but looks unfit and overweight at the moment. I think Justin is a level up but Doyle is still young
-
Maybe just sell winks as well and with Ndidi out of contract in the summer we will truly hit the self destruct button...
