  1. Has there actually been a reputable source linking Maupay to Leicester yet?
  2. Ward's got the first clean sheet of the season...
  3. Will probs be loaned out to the championship when we likely sign El Khannouss
  4. Could be looking to sell him to raise the funds we are throwing around. Could see him going to Chelsea
  5. We are defending too deep to launch counter attacks. Players aren't able to make the normal runs down the channels as they start from so deep like Fatawu
  6. And awful first half
  7. Shame Kristenson didn't get sent off so he doesn't need to play against Villa
  8. Ricardo is a quality LB and so is Justin. There's your two fullbacks who can play bog sides but he won't play them. Ricardo played a full season at LB before he joined us
  9. Any pubs on Leicester that will be showing a stream of the match today?
  10. True. He probably has the same agent as his brother who Cooper signed at Forest and was awful for them However, I would still take Ayew as provides more depth in our squad and can cover a number of positions. We also don't have anyone who can play in the CF position (upfront who can drop off to link and play with their back to goal). But we absolutely still need to also sign a quality striker this window to have a chance.
  11. But he still sold Ayew to Palace when he took over Swansea in the summer 2019. So he's never really managed him before for more than a couple of days...
  12. I think Justin played more as he has the positionally flexibility to invert from RB in a back 4 to RCB in a back 5 which then allowed Fatawu to slot into RB (in a back 5). This shape out of possession allowed us to defend our box well at times tonight when subject to extreme pressure from spurs. It then appears Cooper favoured playing a left footer at left back against Brenan Johnson who is right footed (very unusual in the modern game to have an actual right footer on the right wing). This worked very well in the second half and stopped Johnson going on the outside onto his favoured right foot. I suspect Ricardo will play more this season when facing other types of sides / players. He's still the most skillful and clever player in our squad for me.
  13. Interesting that Cooper adopted a similar defensive formation to Enzo at the later stages of last season. Our Back 4 changed to a back 5 with Justin inverting to a third CB and Fatawu filling in at RB. Seemed to work well when defending our box when Spurs were piling the pressure at times.
  14. At times tonight Justin was inverting to a third CB with Fatawu filling in at RB in a back 5 when we were defending deep. That's the only reason I can see Ricardo not starting as he can't play CB. However, Ricky P is a quality player and would help us holding possession and progressing the ball up the pitch. Needs to be somewhere in the starting 11 whether that's at full back, either wing or CM.
  15. Controversially I think Enzo will do very well at Chelsea following probably a slow start to the season... He has the players to deliver his possession and total control style of football which is currently dominating the premier league.
  16. Is this any nearer or is the thread only "hot" because people are criticizing Zahas attitude before he's even joined us...
  17. Sounds like Daka and we know how that's turned out...
  18. The problem is the gameplay Copper wants to play doesn't suit the way these players are used to operating... so he is going to need a lot of players....
  19. I think Fatawu can deliver a good ball as can Mavididi. The problem last year was that there was no aerial threat in the box so every good cross looked poor. Also we didn't put in many lofted crosses as this clearly wasn't part of Enzo's game plan
  20. Longshot but....is this being streamed anywhere?
  21. Not sure if he will get 15-20 goals a season but can't deny that he is horrible player to play against. Gets under people's skin and is also a big physical and aerial presence
  22. That's the formation Conte used at Chelsea when they won the league. The wingers normally play inside and support the striker leaving space for the full backs to attack on the wings. Danger is normally getting overrun in central midfield (Chelsea didn't have that issue though as they had Kante). We would need two very mobile central midfielders to get it to work so not sure if winks and Ndidi would suit this
  23. Anyone know if this guys fast? Desperately need a fast CB
  24. Would be a good signing on a free and we need more midfield options in the squad
  25. Looks absolutely classy. Looks as good as Pedri on this showing 🤣
