  1. Again one of the worst players on the pitch and that's england 1st choice left back? Garbage, I'd say sell to the highest bidder but I'd just prefer to get him off the wage bill! His heads in the clouds, either waiting for the big money move or he feels he's the best player in the team because of his regular england starting place! It's gone to his head!
  2. Someone I know who knew people involved at park hill golf club told me that LCFC bought the golf club for about £5 million supposedly.
  3. Vardy's hold up play has gone to pot, it's usually one of his strengths, brings others around him into play, but tonight it was either a poor first touch, or a pass straight to the opposition!
  4. Birch is Mr Leicestet City without a doubt! An ever present figure at the football club certainly throughout most of our lives. He's more than the half time announcer, he represents our football club with passion, dignity and respect! His charity fund raising is well documented, but it's been mentioned before how much more he does, such hospital visits, attending events, awards ceremonies and attending funerals I believe. He was football in the community before that was even a thing. One of my favourite moments from the title winning season was seeing birch bringing the PL trophy pitch side and placing it on the base, couldn't think of anyone better! He already has an MBE and is a Freeman of the city of Leicester, a knighthood would be an even more fitting honour for the legend!
  5. I'm sick of these ex pros saying its ruining the game, it's not what we want to see! The offside rule was changed so that VAR can make the 100% correct decision every time, and it has! If your 1cm off side, your off side. No more stupid judgement calls that usually favour bigger teams. It's the only fair, yes it's not what we've been used to our whole lives but this is the new reality! It's not ruining the game, it's just making it fair for all! The dogey penalty decisions on the other hand in conjunction with the use of VAR is making the officials look stupid! If it's a 50/50 peno and they give it, they uphold it. If its 50/50 and they don't give it they uphold it! Clear and obvious error is the biggest cop out ever!
  6. Did liverpool do that too as you used to see the standing water/guttering on the roof when the camera panned towards the corner flags, now the camera's are in their new stand on the opposite side? Not sure if dugout and tunnel swapped too? I would expect ours to move to the other side too, our east stand will be the showpiece stand!
  7. It will be interesting to see how they access that camera gantry. They have to go to the top of the steps on the east stand at the minute, but the executive boxes are in the west so it would need to run the rull length of the west stand with access in the kop or family stand or both. Seems a bit odd when you could incorporate it into a new stand? Unless it's for automated cameras and not commentators and cameras?
  8. We pass the ball really well and some of our build up play is exquisite but we sometimes have no end product and are too slow at moving the ball. We never seem to get the ball wide and whip it into the box, that's all villa did, and Burnley. We seem more content to retain possession and try to walk it in than to be a direct threat, don't get it? Also Why don't we pump far out free kicks into the box, its worth a punt especially when you're chasing a game. We just take it short and pass it around the back!
  9. Villa are nothing more than a championship side, they are utter crap! they offer nothing at all, we dominated over 2 legs, it was just individual errors, bad luck and poor decision making that cost us! I am disappointed that in recent weeks we have been smashed and roll over for top teams and barley create anything against poor ones. We need to figure out how to stand up to the big boys and wipe the floor with the little ones. I thought we'd struggle to break into the top 6 this season so we are massively over achieving, we are a young and evolving team and we really need to learn from recent results and improve on it. Brendan is clever enough to realise this and despite our anger at a big wasted opportunity now, our squad is fantastic and has plenty of time to learn and perfect things
  10. Is it just me but every time a ball goes into our box we look like a rabbit in the headlights, corners, free kicks, crosses were all over the place. A few weeks ago we looked like no one could score past us now any shot we face pretty much goes in, kasper spends more time picking the ball out the net than making saves!
  11. Cant fault the effort going forward, we had over 40 shots over the 2 legs had about 14 on target. Defensively poor though they had 4 shots on target over 2 legs and scored 3, all from defenders not picking up or standing up to their man, cags, ricardo and chilwell all at fault! Kasper does nothing either, any decent shot on target goes in, garbage! We just bottle it anyone that gets stuck in to us and we just cave in, really poor!
  12. In 5 years time people will still be saying he's a good young prospect, then they'll realise oh he's nearly 30, never mind. He's Leicesters version of lingard! When he's had the opportunity here he's not looked anything special, so that must mean he's not good enough at this level sadly. Could do a job for derby though?
  13. We've just lost 2 games to teams that we would be expected to smash. despite being the better team today, its not going for us. Struggling to score more than the odd goal, no plan b sometimes and we gift teams chances, making them look like they deserved something from the game! But it's all our own doing! My concern is that within the next few weeks, we could be dumped out the FA cup to lower league opposition again, gift villa a place in the League cup final and be very close to dropping out the top 4, that's when I think people will really start to turn! We have done incredibly well to be 3rd at this stage but perhaps this is why we cannot be considered a top 4 side yet because we cannot sustain this type of quality throughout the season?
  14. Burnley haven't won when conceding first all season! Don't worry the ever obliging Leicester City are in town!
  15. Despite having all the chances, it seemed garbage again, poor decision making, poor defending, they literally had 2 good chances that came from our poor defending and that was it! We need to start showing our quality and killing these crap teams off, had the chance today and messed it up big style, really was shocking in that sense! They were nothing special at all, goalkeeper gets man of the match that says it all!!!
  16. Coming along nicely, flooding appears to have gone too! This is a massive project, I still cant believe it, it's about twice the size of liverpool's new trading ground, a real statement of intent from the club!
  17. Says a lot about the england team when chilwell is 1st choice left back and Ricardo is about 3rd choice right back for Portugal! Ricardo is a much better defensively and going forward, he needs a new deal! he's everything you want and need from that position, chilwell isn't! Forgetting any attacking play, the goal we conceded tonight he gets back to cover, gets goal side, has a couple of looks where he is in case the cross comes in and when it does hes allowed him to get the touch. It's a good ball in but it should be dealt with and he has time and space to do it, garbage!
  18. Villa sucked all the football out the game. Defended well but you can do that when you put 11 men behind the ball, they let us have it and when they had it just went to ground! What did kasper have to do all game? Pick the ball out the net and dive on one ball across the face of goal, that's it!!! I absolutely hate teams like this that have no intention of playing, they dont even have a striker, they are a garbage team! Just hope they try to play a bit more in front of their home fans and we open them up like we did before! We played well and had a good work ethic despite a few poor performances. Chillwell in particular is really starting to annoy me, can barley cross a ball, can't beat anyone in a one v one unless it's by accident and doesn't defend the far post very well. His best attribute is probably a good first touch, fairly quick and not bad at passing but compare him to Ricardo on the other side he's poor! Seeing him laughing and joking with his best mate grealish at the end topped it off for me!!!
  19. 100% it was his goal! I'm still annoyed he was never credited with it, plus it's a massive thing for a goalkeeper to score, bet he's annoyed too! Also yeovil on a Tuesday night seems a very long time ago! Oh how far we've come.
  20. Personally I'd like to see us go to at least 45k to give us the biggest stadium in the midlands. PL games are always going to be full, even if it's a rubbish team as long as there prices accordingly. Cup games are always going to be difficult to fill. The city of leicester has a population of 330k, the wider urban area is 500k Leicester and Leicestershire combined is 1 million! We can attract a large following, I suspect we could sell another 5k to 10k season tickets alone. We really can be the pride of the midlands! It annoys me that you have clubs that are garbage at the moment like Newcastle who give away season tickets and theres still empty seats, west ham who again have empty seats, they're not a big club! Also to see the likes of Everton and forest submitting planning applications for new or bigger stadiums and wondering why we haven't? We all know that the training ground is priority and that thing looks incredible! And I have no doubt that when the stadium finally does happen it will be too. No longer will we have an early 2000's out of the box flat pack template stadium, but an iconic world class stadium. We should look for as big a capacity as possible, theres a possibility of hosting world cup matches in 2030 or 2034 too, if England were to be hosts. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it, like now!
  21. Hello All, New to the forum, thought I might as well join since I've been reading it for a few years now. I was a season ticket holder from 2000-07 but had to give up due to family commitments, still listen to all the games on the radio and watch on TV, mostly an armchair fan now tho. Im leicester born an bred and have lived here all my life, I live 1 mile from the Walkers, and can also see it from my house, so the home of football is only an upstairs window away! Looking forward to next season!
