I’m not a quotes person as such but Twain has lots that perfectly capture a lot things that are otherwise difficult to say. Give a man a reputation as an early riser and he can sleep ‘til noon.

Probably should have mentioned it but we offer a £500 referral fee too, if you know somebody interested in solar panels, you refer them and they choose us we'll pay you £500.
-
I don't think I've explicitly mentioned it on here but our family business are electrical contractors and we install solar panels, batteries and EV chargers. https://glenfieldelectrical.com

Yes. How far is the garage from the mains supply? Batteries aren't suitable for discharging into cars. Most home batteries are are 4-8 kWh and they'll only discharge to 20%, plus discharging so quickly and frequently knackers them. EV batteries are usually > 50 kWh so it barely makes a dent.

Good, long overdue. There’s probably a lot of shoppers who’d pick something up for a grandchild, nephew, niece whilst out and about but wouldn’t drive to the ground.

The collaboration with Round Corner was incredible. Only managed to have a pint of it in the Cock & Hoop in Notts but I’ve been pining for it since.

Had no idea, makes sense.

It’s strange that there aren’t really any proper pubs in Knighton, Stoneygate and Western Park. It doesn’t even seem like there used to be either. Only 4 entries ever for Allandale rd https://pubhistoryproject.co.uk/street-list-2/

Stoneygate is a marvel. It’s like a suburban Kensington and it could hold its own up against anywhere lovely.

Safe Standing at the King Power Stadium
Stadt replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
They did it proactively. I think we’d really dilute the effect by having more people in it than necessary - especially at first. There’s always the scope to expand it. Just sticking a rail in won’t make people leave and subsequently they’ll sit down. It has to be a concerted effort to make a genuine standing section. 4k rather than 7k standing is more realistic. -
Football clubs leaving twitter in a huff is arrogant of them. It’s the primary news source for millions of fans. The worst thing about Twitter is the sheer volume of bots and onlyfans prostitutes. Completely killed the replies a function.

Option 2 would be best. Some exclusivity first means there’s more fervent demand. 7K is probably far too many and will end up with people sitting down and avoids the relocations it needs to be a success. Additionally, a smaller amount is more likely to have proper rail seating rather than just the crap bar across the seats. -
Went to Fourwards when I first moved to Earl Shilton

Fourwards is fantastic. One of the more expensive restaurants I’ve been to in the county however.

He has the perfect grounding e.g elite education, he was a director for 7 years watching his billionaire father run both KP and be the chair and owner of the club during the most successful period in its history. In theory that’s all you could ever want before taking over. He’s either disinterested, incompetent or both. The just sack Rudkin brigade are just naive.

There's lots of things compounding here. I think our fanbase is probably a bit older and more middle class than Everton's or Leeds'. Our fans on average live further away from the ground than what Everton's do. This has a pretty consequential knock on effects as to how our support is comprised. Vichai dying is an incorrigible suit of armour for the club for some fans. Criticising 'our wonderful owners' is tantamount to blasphemy, despite Top being totally disinterested. Winning the league also means a sizeable faction think we've completed football so are just content with being toss. I personally can't stand this mentality. The season ticket situation means people who probably don't want one keep it because they're never getting it back otherwise. There are would-be vociferous fans frozen out. The club aren't interested in letting an atmosphere bloom, in most instances they work against it. See safe having their head in the sand about safe standing for about 15 years. Having their own co-chair on the Fan Advisory Board, persisting with clappers, loud music at full time, half arsing the clear out for the singing section etc.

Create the ultimate Leicester City player
Stadt replied to Elsie Effcee's topic in Leicester City Forum
1) Technique (Ball control, dribbling, turning, balance) - Mahrez, this is just inarguable. 2) Mindset ( Passion, motivation, leadership quality) - Vardy, not the best leader necessarily but it goes without saying how resilient he is. 3) Intelligence (tactical awareness, vision, risk assessment) - Cambiasso 4) Physicality (body type, strength, speed, athleticism) - Heskey, especially in his early 20s, incredibly quick for how big he was. It's rare such a tall and broad player has that level of acceleration. 5) Team player (Loyalty, personality, popularity) - Toss up between Vardy and King. I'll go for Vardy again. Incredibly selfless on the pitch, turned down bigger moves. True ur greatest ever. -
I think what happens is, we don't sack Cooper until the new year as we're not in the relegation zone, we're 2 points above it, 1 point, above the 18th on GD, only a point behind 17th, 2 points, 3 points 4 points behind. Perhaps just after the window closes for maximum ineptitude. We'll then draw up any replacements *after * he's sacked and look to the available pool of managers that have PL Experience (obviously absolutely mandatory). Potter will have been appointed elsewhere by then. Moyes turns us down because he's not interested. Then we have the invariable Oscar Garcia link. We're excited by a tenuous link to a Terzic type before... Lampard 2026.
