  1. I think a smart club would sack him looking at the performance data. We won’t because we’ve been left behind in that regard. Brighton binned off their ‘pragmatic’’ manager in Hughton when they were broadly fine and never looked back. However we won’t sack him until we’re slightly adrift because we don’t operate on trajectories - only on what is happening under our nose.
  2. He knows him from the England youth set up which is a classic Cooper hallmark.
  3. Everybody that's ever bothered to look at FBref more than once would do a better job at squad planning than the clowns at the club. I'm not being hyperbolic either. After signing one of Ayew or Skipp (maybe both), I posted something along the lines of 'What happens if Cooper is sacked (probably a 50% chance) when we spent so much on his players?" Any new manager has Skipp, Ayew and BDCR tied down for a while occupying registration places and earning probably £150,000 pw between them. The opportunity cost of signing these bozos was huge.
  4. Love EBG, knows exactly what makes a good pub
  5. Went to the Monk on Sunday, thought it wa great and actually very reasonable at £29 for two courses. I’ll opt for the griffin - thanks
  6. Yeah or a restaurant provided it’s nothing too over the top for a birthday meal.
  7. Not been since it’s been taken over. I loved how characterful it was and have been put off by that but I should just grow up and go
  8. Where’s best for food (midweek) in Charnwood besides the Curzon?
  9. Even if we appointed a mediocre manager like Oscar Garcia I’d have some enthusiasm for the season. I was vehemently against appointing Cooper because he’s not only useless - he’s just ****ing drab. If by some miracle we appointed a good manager, it’s not long until we’re back at square one because this regime is inept.
  10. Hi Steve, I hope you are well. Thanks for the seasono we spent together.Good luck for the next year but you are not in my plan
  11. It just shows a total lack of diligence to keep chasing a bloke who most likely turns us down AGAIN. We should have an ever evolving shortlist of realistic managers. Whenever we do sack a manager it’s a haphazard approach afterwards - it’s never planned out well.
  12. Potter has turned us down enough times, it’s embarrassing if we approach him again.
  13. Watching the goals back, just completely disorganised - the second is startlingly similar to the first. Their midfield had far too much space because we were too deep and too flat. Hard to access the opposition players and pressure them if one backward pass takes 2 or 3 players out the game. It was Forest where I noticed we were abysmal in defensive transitions but the third is just crap. It was a bit of a problem with Enzo but that’s the trade off from the 3241 in possession. We’re even more vulnerable from what should in third be more solid. All against a pretty crap United
  14. Diageo have cracked marketing. I’m not sure if they seeded the split the G challenge but it just gets people talking and subsequently drinking it. Also leaving it to settle is bullshit but it just separates it as this distinct beer, there’s a mythos around it. I do drink a lot of it, 4% and it’s smooth - I don’t find it bloating like some say.
  15. The Ayew thing has to be fetishistic
  16. “Bang average” is horribly misused on here. I wish Cooper was an average PL manager
  17. xG is cobblers because Vardy doesn’t take into account good finishers miguel
  18. The players don’t know what they’re doing because they’re not well drilled enough but it’s fine because we got 4 points against 10 men and we’re not currently in the bottom 3 apparently
  19. That defensive transition for the Garnacho goal was abysmal - he can’t coach a PL team. The longer he’s here the higher % of relegation each week. This is a bad Man United team too.
  20. Most of the 115 or whatever are small fry things from absolutely years ago. Being stripped of titles would be farcical - I’m fed up of football discussion centred on regulations and finances and if they’re severely punished it only gets worse.
  21. Went to this, Air were great but it was my first time at RAH and I was just taken aback at it as a venue. So impressive.
  22. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead Simple Minds - Once Upon A Time The Chemical Brothers - Surrender
  23. Our xG (19th) and xGA (20th) 11v11 make grim reading. Two of the worst teams in the league going down to 10 in our two biggest games of the season has been fortunate. https://markstats.club/epl-teams-24-25/ We weren't doing a lot until the red on 79 minutes.
  24. Air - Moon Safari
  25. Daft Punk - Discovery Prodigy - Fat of the Land New Order - Substance
