Admittedly, I’ve only watched highlights but Otchere looks much more accomplished than Hutchinson - the latter needs a loan. Hutchinson’s decision making and his execution just didn’t look near where it needs to be. There was a shot he had blocked where he was just completely unaware the defender was closing him down, could be an isolated incident but you get away with that in youth football. Otchere already has more maturity to his game.

The County Council loses a huge proportion of its tax base and still has a vast amount of land, buildings, highways to administer. Likely has a much higher average age now so the social care bill will be crippling. A Labour national government giving a Labour (for now) ran City some of the most productive non-London/SE LAs in England is just pork barrel crap. Chaplin I'm happy with but agree on deal length. Ings just isn't durable enough, don't like it - but if we get 25 games out of him (somehow), fine. McCarthy, just way too long but it does at least stop us signing Bazunu who is Ward level. Hopefully these are just getting the experience in now signings.

This would be fine if there wasn’t huge distortion with players changing allegiances so freely. Curaçao having all bar one player born elsewhere but then forced to use a 57 year old from there with a CONCACAF 25m swimming badge is incongruent. I’d inhibit players from playing for their grandparent’s nation personally and I’d impose a hard cap on any nationally change at say, 21.

Rubbish season for Portsmouth last year, hopefully that was a one off, obviously not a PL player so 24/25 can be written off so his last good season was 23/24 and he's 29 with a three year deal. Seemingly a great pro but the extra year burdens with more risk than I'd like. I'd be sanguine with a 2+1 option. The other concern is he's 5'6, our midfield options are already lightweight. Overall I'd give it a 6.75, depending on wages.

In that case give him a year, it's totally standard to give a keeper in their late 30s a year only. If he doesn't like it - move on to the next target.

If the wages are fine, then sure. I’m almost certain they won’t be. 2 year deal is also problem - the issue is, what happens if this doesn’t work out? We’re stuck with a costly bum for two years and we can ill afford that. The plus point is no Bazunu, no Stolarcyzk
