  1. He works in insurance so I can confirm it isn't him
  2. Excellent signing, I think the system we played last year severely stunted his output, I'm almost certain he gets 10+ goal contributions in the PL. Worst comes to the worst, we shift him for £30m+ in the event of relegation and begrudgingly it's good business.
  3. He did what he was supposed to do but stayed on far too long. 2018-21 we genuinely had enough belief that we could win a tournament, I really don't rate him but he's done a good enough enabling job. He's been an upmarket Puel and that's what we needed although I wish he'd gone after the Italy final.
  4. Needs to be a manager with a great tactical track record and in-game management, by far Southgate's biggest weaknesses. If we were to go with a big name we could do a hell of a lot worse than Mancini. If it's Potter or Howe than please please please be Howe, Potter is the continuity option and the opposite of what we need.

  6. So you believe in political violence?
  7. What? He can’t complain at being shot? That’s insane
  8. What that you’re hoping he was killed? Spit it out
  9. That’s a disgusting thing to say
  10. I’d rather get a deduction whilst the season has started than beforehand, I think having some wins under our belt first helps rather than having the psychological blow of seeing -6 or -8 before a ball is kicked
  11. Kimber and Cox are a good partnership together
  12. Not all that surprising that our old mate Mongerton is all over it.

    Dreadful, I'm particularly bad at guessing the year of black and white photos #WhenTaken #135 (11.07.2024) I scored 734/1000 🎉 1️⃣ 📍 608 km - 🗓️ 12 yrs - ⚡ 161 / 200 2️⃣ 📍 640 km - 🗓️ 2 yrs - ⚡ 179 / 200 3️⃣ 📍 268 km - 🗓️ 12 yrs - ⚡ 170 / 200 4️⃣ 📍 108 km - 🗓️ 5 yrs - ⚡ 190 / 200 5️⃣ 📍 3638 km - 🗓️ 34 yrs - ⚡ 34 / 200 https://whentaken.com
  14. Wharton is it, I think if he'd had a full season under Glasner there'd be no qualms about him starting
  15. I’m a 99th percentile Southgate hater but fair play he actually got it right. It’s 11 v 11 Sunday, who knows

  17. This thread is quite illuminating in a way because there’s fans just totally at peace with us being shit off the pitch
  18. The Vestergaard deal was silly at the time, it looks even sillier now the first manager to actually play him left. We're bad negotiators.
  19. I think he's talented but 400 minutes or whatever in the PL isn't going to do him many favours, his finishing was fairly smart last season but his otherwise ineffective in side with so much of the ball. A loan is best but whilst our striking options are Vardy who'll never stay fit for the whole season and Daka, he'll probably stick around.
  20. They're not stupid obviously but a deal can be struck, there's some give and take. I'd rather limit our liability and pay a slight premium for it (and give an optional finally year extension) than be tied down. Quick players tend to have starker declines. An Athletic article which shows take on data for wingers declining pretty rapidly after 30 https://archive.is/QgplP I like him but he's 31.5 now, End of 24/25 - 32.5 End of 25/26 - 33.5 End of 26/27 - 34.5 If by 25/26 he's just a bit part player than we'd rather not play we have another Bertrand-esque situation. If it was a straight up binary choice of 3 years or no deal I think I'd opt for the latter.
  21. There’s a world of difference between say Bet365 and whoever were sponsored by
  22. I’m not even convinced these could fulfil any sponsorship fees. If they did any due diligence on their finances they’d have surely came across their abysmal reputation
  23. He wouldn’t sign if we didn’t offer him 4 years, should offer him 5 just to be sure.
  24. What sort of player is he? Box to box?
