  1. His touch isn’t obviously shit but he never has the ball fully in control, to such a degree he never links up well as he’s stretching to play the ball. Doesn’t have the strength to hold the ball up, not good in the air, paceless. He wouldn’t stand out in League 1.
  2. I think he’d perhaps work best as an assistant now. He’s had lots of surgery and I don’t think stress of the manager’s job would be good for him. However him being back in any capacity would be great. I’ve pushed back on the idea in the past but he was the visionary behind it all.
  3. Quite a few roles have gone unfilled behind the scenes so I'm not sure we have the competence to order in displays currently. The acting CEO can't be bothered to turn up at all.
  4. I agree however I think there are very few managers that would fire up this squad. 7 of the players that featured on Saturday have their deals expiring in June. I don't think Maresca was inspirational he just had conviction in his coaching and was good at conveying it - if Cifuentes was a better coach in footballing terms the rest would follow.
  5. I swear love, I tried to kill a fly and I swatted the remote and it just went onto that channel
  6. Extremely unlikely we're signing a player directly from South America, even more unlikely we sign somebody whose buy option will be exercised. Far too much complexity for our clowns all round. If we (needlessly, oh wait, makes it more likely) sign a centre back it will be a Jamal Lascelles type figure, rather than just playing Nelson and spending the money where we need at LB, CM or upfront.
  7. Silko Thomas scored no goals and got 2 assists in 20 apps for Wigan last season, he is not the answer
  8. Am thinking maybe the fly will come back in a coaching role?..
  9. It's bad enough he can't be arsed as the owner but as the acting CEO it's hyper negligent. He's a c unt
  10. We never learn when we have a player with a year left. We don't sell them, don't renew them so we have a disruptive and complacent player who can't wait to leave. We've been relegated once in part because Rudkin can't manage contract expiration, it might happen again. We have two long term options and they're shit James - loan 2026 (might not even want to sign here) Winks - 2026 Soumare - 2026 Choudhury - 2027 Skipp - 2029
  11. Not with Top and Rudkin at the helm.
  12. I don't think we can play 4231. Even James alongside a good DM is just too porous I think. Choudhury at DM with Winks and James ahead seems our most balanced midfield without Ramsey.
  13. I don't rate him particularly but we need an actual DM in midfield in Choudhury. Winks and James don't screen the defence well enough at all - look at their defensive stats, pitiful
  14. You could have a bit of sympathy with Cifuentes if he tried to do anything slightly differently. Instead it's a stilted 4231 every week. Slow, ponderous build up that is easy to defend against every week. 90% similar line ups with proven failures every week. There's no hint of trial end error with playing say Fatawu on the left to mix things up, 3 at the back, a proper DM in midfield or 2 up front. We'll play the same style, a similar line up and expect a different result against Middlesborough. You could just about excuse these defeats if we were building towards something with a youthful team but instead we have the 13th lowest average age! The problems are way above the manager but he is the latest in a long line of issues. Nelson, Aluko, Page are no worse than these twats and if they're played will be better (probably already are) in a years time.
  15. One of the few higher end places in Leics that can justifiably charge what they do. Much better than Mallories imo
  16. On paper we’d have said there is no way we drop in 22/23. It was a matter of time - shit player recruitment and shit managerial recruitment will always catch up
  17. Better to write off the debt (of his own creation) as it’ll never be paid back. The commercial side is a shambles and Seagrave would have been set in motion by Vichai.
  18. Allowing him to stay is worse. Look at the trajectory! Look at the amount of interest in Wednesday.
  19. We were terrible in 21/22, should have finished just above the relegation zone - a quirk of the fixture list playing doomed and on the beach teams meant we were in a false position. 22/23 we’d have stayed up but not by much, season after we’d have gone anyway.
  20. We’re lucky our opposition are so servile. These are mostly slow on the uptake invertebrates. They might clap or jeer and carry on attending but wanking for Top on Facebook isn’t doing a lot is it
  21. I think I’ve moaned about this before but leadership is the most overrated ****ing thing in football. Vardy and Schmeichel witnessed a lot of this decline and did **** all because they’re players employed by the club.
  22. No. They want their pound of flesh as we have made them look daft (mostly their own fault).
  23. Yep, the Ginetta’s have their Official Supporter’s Club (?) sinecure sewn up. 11 people at their AGM
