Vardy’s contract is up. Daka has a year left and we sell to recoup some cash. Leaving us with Opoku, Evans, Popov & Richards as options. As the most senior of the lot we might as well try him in preseason.

RVN is objectively worse but I despise Cooper more. The former is just the latest idiot set up to fail, Cooper was integral in our highest net spend ever and the parts are all now worth less than their sum. Skipp for £25m because Cooper knew him as a 17 year old is scandalous. Ayew AND Reid. We were extremely lucky to get the points we did under him. Bournemouth a complete fluke. Two of the worst PL sides ever went down to 10 and they both had clear penalties not given for them. Forest fans singing his name was stomach turning.

Season Ticket Renewal Deadline Shut
Stadt replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Renewed for the social aspect, I wouldn’t see lots of mates as often and some I probably wouldn’t see at all. I’m jaded with the club, the owner, the directors and I’ve wanted them out since 2021 really. If I don’t renew it’s one fewer person in the ground that will protest, jeer and give them shit. -
Probably my favourite ever book, completely evocative. The subalterns are almost other worldly with their courage and wit, those sort of men just don’t exist now.

Have you read The Great Game?

Porto is great. Stunning city, great bars, pretty cheap. Haven’t been to Bucharest but most people I know have said it’s interesting but not up there with the best they’ve visited
-
I've used Suit Yourself on Belvoir St, nice chaps there

Crikey what a waste of effort

Probably just software. Crap, soft content that gets click though

Managers get sacked whenever, Rudkin's incompetence is pervasive in every footballing function at the club. Wanting RVN out first is just completely short termist. Top goes first ideally.

How people conflate footballing styles, it's possible to be counter attack, or press and be a ball-dominant side. They're not mutually exclusive things.

https://fbref.com/en/players/231c67ff/Nelson-Weiper Small sample size but worth keeping tabs on. Big guy but nimble with it - we need a striker.

Born in Leicester, not that means anything

I'd probably been looking at this forum for 8 or 9 years before the pun dawned on me one day

Ben Nelson - loan to Oxford United - Official
Stadt replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
There genuinely is zero forward planning in transfer dealings and contract extensions. The Vestergaard extension was completely ridiculous, I bet players and their agents genuinely laugh after they sign the deal. -
I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t immediately sack him but instead wasted a few months of valuable time, then sent him packing. We sack mangers after international breaks

Culturally we’re just bad at giving 18 year olds minutes. Rudkin is the academy director and DoF, he couldn’t be any more influential or culpable. We rely on a successful loan period before giving players a chance, which is fine and if has merit in it but we’re abysmal at sorting loans. After Schlupp, Chilwell, Barnes, Thomas, KDH’s development lower league club’s should be banging on the door for our loanees. -
Nope, we were about the 3rd or 4th best side in the league on xG. https://understat.com/league/EPL/2015 We created good chances and conceded few. Forest are a decent side running incredibly hot at the top end of the pitch. I think Marinakis and the backroom staff deserve credit because they’ve changed things up and recruited well - they’re a bit more chaotic but that’s a better way to run a club than what we do, whatever model or method that is
-
Forest have built a talented team and have a wily manager but they have been lucky. Wood has 18 goals from 11 xG. On expected points they're 11th.
-
Leuven are better ran than us and have less KP involvement, not that we needed any more proof but it's telling.

We have a bunch of inconsistent players that if 3/4s of them all pull it together at once we’re a very good side. Budinger having a sensible innings, Mike taking a 3-fer and a decent knock. If Ahmed and Scriven get into gear as well then we might be promotion contenders.
