  1. Like when we lost to Hull as reigning champions and they had about 13 players. We were often farcical under Vichai too.
  2. It’s a mess because it’s been ran so shoddily because the owner has trusted his arse cyst too much. Any new owner would come in and bring in a new CEO and DOF. There’s no quick fix but within two seasons of strict wage control we’d be pretty healthy financially no there’s no Vardy, Ward, Ndidi, Soumare, Pereira etc on top half PL wages. The big issues looks as though KP probably overvalue the club but hopefully their hand is forced through issues in Thailand
  3. We need to move him on. Spurs let Winks go because they had Skipp who was incredibly similar. Literally only Leicester would be stupid enough to buy both. Winks rep is still high enough we could move him on for a few million and it’d be fine PSR wise. Rangers might be good off ramp
  4. The St Margaret’s bus station is way better than you’d expect and pretty reasonably priced. A place you wonder why you don’t use it more frequently
  5. Fantastic season. Jason pitched it perfectly and Matt was possibly the best contestant ever. Fatiha (sp), Stevie and Rosie were great in their own ways too. No coincidence Shearsmith is doing it after Steve Pemberton has
  6. Me too - saw some photos of a couple of Sunderland pubs the other day and they looked as if they’d be the 2 best in the city
  7. Defenders going down so easily when facing their own goal looking for a free kick needs addressing. They’re always given
  8. It’s far too big for that. The most catastrophic thing that happens is maybe a TV deal collapses and subsequently some clubs do.
  9. Bodega is good for groups, especially a bit earlier too. Outdoor area is substantial. +1 for Kilpin too. Between that and Canalhouse Nottingham has two pubs with the best beer selections I've ever seen in Britain (annoyingly).
  10. It does seem prudent to wait for maybe a week and hope it resolves itself. There's no guarantee that does happen though - can't shake the feeling it smacks of the classic Leicester false economy scenario. We baulked at Corberan's compensation clause, hired the 'cheaper' Cooper then Bought Skipp for £25m. What does it cost if we don't land Rohl, not just monetarily but in time and to a degree reputation?
  11. In 1.5 seasons with a League One standard squad?
  12. I'd love to know how many shirts we've sold in Thailand since 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority where bought by actual fans holidaying there than Thai locals.
  13. The more clubs discredit and abuse PSR the better, I've said all along we're the mugs for perennially being in the halfway house of restricting ourselves but never complying either.
  14. No this is foxestalk
  15. Just saw Rohl at Trowell services in the M&S food. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen bags of Walkers max in his hands without paying. The girl at the till was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bags and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each packet and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
  16. Solhekol has the same - stupid - pausing and stressing. Cadenceeeee as. Robert - - Pestonnnn as well
  17. We just shuffle the next cab off the useless rank into the position rather than recruiting somebody good from a the infinitely larger of non-Leicester employees. FD left, his assistant was appointed. Almost all academy roles are filled internally. So many people across every dept like ticketing and IT have been at the club for decades, genuinely. It’s no wonder it’s stale
  18. Daka is nowhere near one of the worst. The signing hasn’t worked out well but he’s always tried, has scored some goals, hasn’t f ucked off at various points because he’s homesick. Silva, Soumare, Ward, Vestergaard et al have all been far worse
  19. We sell fewer shirts than Leeds because they have a larger fanbase (and diaspora) but we sell fewer shirts than we ought to. Like somebody has said earlier in the thread, we don’t distribute them well enough. The club shop(s) and the JC Sports are the only place you can pick them up physically and they’re all in the city itself. It’s not even like they’ve tried to sell shirts in Loughborough, Hinckley, Melton etc.
  20. Really underrated place generally but the pubs are great. European Bar Guide is really high on it - although I don’t think The Belgian Monk is on there and that’s fantastic.
  21. All of the above points at crap executives - especially those with retail backgrounds
  22. Must be so dispiriting to see wickets lobbed away as Walker and Wood
  23. Lots of Adidas clubs getting incredibly smart trefoil logo kits and we’ll be saddled with generic template D again. Even when we were CL chasing we had bland Adidas kits - incredibly dull people behind the scenes with zero drive to do anything differently.
  24. Agree with that, but at Leicester it’s very comfortable because nobody ever gets sacked - there’s no need to stick your head above the parapet to do something useful. The owner doesn’t hold the board’s feet to the fire and neither does the chief exec with the senior management. The BC game deal will be Top’s connections - I severely doubt Dan Barnett is tapping them up with his skiing and sailing marketing background.
  25. Bet it increases tax receipts a negligible amount. Simply can’t try and save a little bit for retirement or something nice.
