In Derby unexpectedly on Saturday - The Alexandra hotel would easily be the best pub in Leicester. Didn't have time to go in any others bar the Dolphin but the whole place looked smarter and buzzier than what Leicester would have unfortunately.
-
The club maintaining radio silence isn't them looking out for anybody it's so they can stop as much dissenting opinion getting out as possible
-
Mavividi isn't a striker and the midfield pair has the defensive chastity of Lily Phillips - we categorically would not go up with that team
-
And we saved how much by paying off Cooper and RVN in the same season we appointed them? Complete false economy. Even if we'd have gone down under Corberan last season, it'd have been a much closer affair and we'd head into this season with a competent manager in place. Instead, we have the worst of all worlds, like usual with Top and Rudkin's decision making.

Running out of patience? The've bene sat on their arses for MONTHS
-
I'd be happy with him as an option in the PL. 25 goals, 13 assists in 86.8 nineties so about 10 goals a season. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather sign say Nelson Weiper but f we can shift Daka and sign Adams on the right terms (which is probably unlikely) I'd be up for it.

This it totally consistent with when we sack managers after international breaks. They had about 3 months to sort this appointment but they thought their holidays were more important. They show the club nothing but contempt. If you're still wavering about KP out - you are a moron
-
In 15 years of KP, we'll have only ever appointed two managers currently in a senior job. One of our greatest ever managers they forced out in the first place with the impending takeover for a big name and Rodgers. Sven - out of work, disaster Pearson Ranieri - out of work Shakespeare - already at the club Puel - just sacked by Southampton Rodgers - appointed from Celtic, huge success initially, never followed up by poaching a manager again Dean Smith - out of work Maresca - youth coach, hired on a recommendation Cooper - out of work RVN - out of work, literally just played us twice Pitiful record and it's amazing we've had any success under these charlatans
-
Great point, when has this relationship ever benefitted us? It's not like Wolves where they had access to players they never would have otherwise - we get saddled with shit every time
-
This is genuinely true btw
-
If there was a semblance of competence at the club you'd think maybe this is just pushing Chansiri/Rohl but Piss Pot and Toenails' rap sheet is far too long for that to be the case
-
Mixed bag in the comments there with most saying 6/10, some 8/10 and most saying they wouldn't take him back. The obvious caveat is if you took the replies to one of LCFC's tweets too seriously you'd be led down the garden path. His numbers look absolutely fine and his fbref data has him as a slight +ev finisher. He has 38 championship goals in his last 66 appearances, plus 8 assists. As for Evans, I really like the look of him and I'm happy to give him a chance but if at the end of the season we didn't sign a striker and missed out on promotion (or even being close) we'd be absolutely lambasting the club for their incompetence. If we essentially swapped out Daka for Adams we'd be better off.

Top and Rudkin are chumps. Another false economy cheap appointment. Wilder is a decent manger but his recruitment is ABYSMAL and O'Neil is just SHIT

He scored 7 goals in 12 nineties last time in the championship - Ayew has scored more than 7 league goals in a season once in his career. Besides we need to sell Daka for the benefit of broth parties but he's the only senior actual striker we have currently -
I was against all of the aforementioned signings but Adams is different. Our striking options currently are Daka and Ayew. Adams is a 1 in 3 striker at a higher level than this one, Evans is the only young striker and even he seems to be more of a winger. If the fee is right for Adams, Torino signed I'm on a free, (he's not even been linked anyway tbh) then we should go for him as a Daka replacement and a striker that could score enough to get us up. I normally agree with you on players but we also need players to be good right now, none of the other previous shit aging signings even did that.

Daka is a better option at 9 than Ayew - who isn't one. -
16 goals and 4 assists in 25 Championship nineties in 23/24 - I'd take him all day long. His PL and Serie A record is basically 1 in 3. Would just have to be mindful of the contract length as he's 29 this week.

If 11 goals is a good job then yeah he'd ace it. -
He's about the only staff member getting paid to prevent him walking out for free. Like all footballing staff we probably do pay managers (too) well - I'd expect we'd give him a moderate pay rise. We're a shit show but that's in relation to where we were 5 years ago. At Wednesday his staff are all free to leave, the already weak squad are jumping ship and they're almost certainly going to be relegated. Few people have been as critical of the clubs as long as I have but we're just aren't going to be looking at wage deferrals in the short-medium term. Our wage bill has come down substantially and we have parachute payments - plus for Rohl there's a much better chance of career progression (see Maresca), earning more money working with the bones of a a talented squad in a much more stable environment.
-
He’s barely getting paid at all at Wednesday!
-
Trouble with Rehan is availability. Cox has been a captain before iirc so I’d go with him
-
In preseason Thomas said he gave the captaincy to Kimber because he’s the most like Handscomb in personality. Worth a try but it’s not enough - PH is a much superior player with way more experience across lots of competitions. Correct the mistake - had we done this 3 games ago we’d be fine.
-
Birmingham probably have a smaller catchment than we do tbh. Big city but they have Villa to contend with and they draw 360° support from around the city plus all the other West mids clubs to contend with. The training ground is expensive but that plus a productive academy (probably £150m+ in sales over the past decade) it’s the sort of thing a prospective buyer would want in place.
-
I said healthy rather than profitable, running at a small loss or breaking even is absolutely fine provided there’s enough working capital. We have a big fanbase (under-served through no expansion), an amazing reputation through 2016, a state of the art training ground, an hour from London on the train. It’s a much more attractive proposition than most clubs that get bought out. Birmingham were certainly in a far worse state (although reflected in the price). If you were savvy and data driven - like most American owners - it wouldn’t take much to have us midtable in the PL.
