EVERY recruiter is on linkedin and you really need to have a strong profile.... Here's some additional tips from stuff I wrote a while ago now, but alot of it will still apply. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/how-recruiting-job-search-during-covid-19-so-much-better-statham-/?trackingId=phKTpSlHS3Wo8PlN%2FKCeLQ%3D%3D https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/make-your-linkedin-profile-stand-out-from-crowd-greg-statham-/?trackingId=phKTpSlHS3Wo8PlN%2FKCeLQ%3D%3D https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/social-media-faux-pas-avoid-when-youre-searching-your-greg/?trackingId=phKTpSlHS3Wo8PlN%2FKCeLQ%3D%3D

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-67370315 UK Economy Flatlines as Higher Interest Rates Bite..... BoE saying they won't be in a position to reduce interest rates till next year at the earliest. GOOD NEWS though, it's predicted the UK Economy will grow by 0.1% in the final 3 months of the year. what a prosperous and thriving nation we live in.

see we are a heavy mileage family... in the 4.5 years we've owned our current diesel, we've done over 120,000 miles in it. but because it's a company car, we don't pay insurance, maintenance etc and we put all our private mileage on it, which has meant my 15 year old Audi has survived many more years than it should have lol. I "suspect" we will be better off.... we definitely will be from a BIK perspective, but if my Wife has a 400 mile round trip for work, she will be charging at public charging points, which will inevitably nudge the cost up dramatically...
-
Thanks Tom. We do have chargers at work... but we've also moved to an EV Company Car scheme... so it's fair to say there aren't enough to go around! just trying to navigate my way around it all, but there is almost too much information out there. In an ideal world, I'd have solar panels and batteries at home... but i haven't figured out how to rob a bank yet... so it's an unlikely solution!
-
just out of interest, for those that do have electric cars.... roughly how much to you spend per month to charge the car? (I realise there are going to be HUGE fluctuations in this based on mileage etc)

there is the potential for this to be true of it in General to be fair. there will be very few professions, over the span of time, that this doesn't entirely alter the way things are done. To give an example, I'm in the process of looking at an AI solution for our organisation, where it will transform the way we identify and manage talent. It will absolutely make it infinitly better than our current processes and levels of insight.... but at the same time it potentially eradicates a number of people's roles... or at the very least fundamentally alters the work that is being done within our current talent management structures.
-
thought it would be good to have a topic around all things AI... where are people seeing positive impacts in work or at home and does it spell the end for all humanity as Elon Musk seems to catastrophise about!!?

wasn't intended as a negative comment.... just an observation.... A comment above mine was saying if he fixes all his faults he could be an england starter.... I don't see it that way... I think he will fall into the Mark Noble, Kevin Nolan, type category.... which is about a million times bigger than anything i achieved in the game.
-
He's very "kevin nolan" isn't he......... really strong in the Championship... competent in the Premier League... but never going to earn huge amounts of england caps

Feels like we need Hamza to replace casadei for some bite and pace in the middle.

One of the other reasons that Insurance has gone up... ironically.... is due to the Fair Pricing legislation.... ultimately, it means that insurance companies can't operate with Loss Leaders (i.e. very low quotes to secure the business) so all prices have to be relatively similar to both new and existing customers. historically, they would have just relied on people letting it auto renew at a high margin and used the margin to lower new customers rates.

Mark Harper has confirmed in house of commons that this will be opened to Leicester.

and yet ironically, lasts much longer than any kind of politics thread ever has!

knees are weird. I had a really innocuous knee injury about 9 weeks ago and it still hasn't cleared up despite physio. Strangest thing is, it causes me absolutely no pain at all in day to day moving about. No tender points in my knee, but the second I try to walk up or down a flight of stairs, it's debilitating..... feels like my knee is made out of weetabix and painful across my whole knee. such a complex joint, it's no wonder time lines and pinpointing of injury is vague.

Or "the drinkers degree"

The old part of Burbage is lovely... but when we moved 3 years ago, we considered Hinckley as our alternative and the town centre has gone down hill so much. I used to own a bar in Hinckley at the bottom of castle street and the high street was still ok back then... I walked down there in the summer, from B&Q to the bottom of castle street and it was utterly dreadful. glad we made the choice that we did with where we live now, and it's not taking anything away from Hinckley per se... it's personal preference at the end of the day.... but to your point... I'd possibly pick Hinckley over central leicester.... but i'd rather live in the queens road area.

So are we all expecting a repeat in the Zhang Vs Joyce fight? I think it's a Zhang win again for me...Joyce is a unit, but his head movement is so poor!

I'd say, that as long as he is drinking water, then you can get away with another couple of days.... maybe try something different to cat food. Will he eat dreamies if you try to give him some? Cats a fussy... mine stopped eating her felix this week, absolutely not interested whatsoever... gave her a pouch of whiskers and she ate every last bit... today... not interested in whiskers, but will eat a pouch of Aldi own brand.... means I tend to buy 3 or 4 different brands and rotate them. I reckon i'd get bored of food as well if I only ever ate the same thing 3 times a day, every day, forever.
