  1. We can all pick parts to sell a story. Like the union with Pearson, the quick promotion back to the Championship, the finding of King Power the owners that some people will worship forever. The ability to actually speculate in the transfer market instead of the basket case we was post admin. Mandaric was a football man, that much was obvious. He tool the relegation to heart, and it was nice he did that interview. Still waiting for such an interview from the worshipped Top. Top's main achievement in recent years as it least the losses are not all being turned into new debt on the club. But decision making lets not beat around the bush, its a complete shit show. Recruitment isnt any better either, buying players not suited to tippy tappy whilst imposing tippy tappy on the manager. Commercially the management has been diabolical, win the EPL, win the FA cup, and commercially we no better than a 15th placed EPL team. The only increase in revenue was from TV money linked to success and it obviously went to pot when that success ended. The failure to expand the stadium is an absolute brain fart. Instead of looking to exploit FFP we do a self imposed embargo instead, and then have to suffer years of an after shock from it. Its a basket case right now.
  2. Its not that hard to fund a stadium. Its also basic common and business sense that the costs wont go down in the future, so if you want it as cheap as possible you do it ASAP. Pushing a stadium back basically means we not doing it, but some dont get it. Sadly we heading back to being behind these clubs, like when when we had the lower capacity Filbert Street, really bad decision making from the owners to not exploit our success. 30k is the new 20k.
  3. I cant stand blatant bad refereeing, at the very least that needs a panel review with a potential suspension for the ref and assistant. They should be having to explain what happened there. The worst to thing to do is brush it off and blame our own player. This is why the best managers call out the FA.
  4. She said a few words whilst walking by, but nothing worse then that, it was actually the ref that decided to elevate it by calling Shannon back after she had already walked off. Look at the area of the pitch as well, assistant should have been very close, and the dive wasnt noticed with also the liverpool player doing two big shoulder barges. Sorry but that was just very bad refereeing, and I am not one who is scared to back ref's when I think a decision was fair against our team. Whilst you can argue Shannon should have been calmer, we want our players fired up, and with such a bad decision, it would wind up many players. Its quite simple really, dont fall fot the dive whether its corruption or amateur refereeing, then the mouthing of to the ref doesnt happen.
  5. I watched a few 5 min spells before the red card, ad we looked completely at a lower level to Liverpool, struggled to put a few passes together, attempted sprints ran into Liverpool players, just kept backing off whenever they had the ball, it was a very hard watch. I then come to the red card, and that has to be one of the most idiotic decisions I have ever seen in a football match, Liverpool defender barges into our player twice, then proceeds to dive, the barges are ignored and a second yellow is issued for the dive. In the end justice was done and great we came out of that winners, it seemed so unlikely in how the game started. I assume we would appeal that card, but if I am right red's, from two yellows cant be appealed?
  6. Self imposed penalty for them this season, putting style of play ahead of results. Wilder will get them up the table now.
  7. At first I thought he just howlered, but late deflection, not much he could do. For a keeper I dont care about ball at feet, thats not what keepers are for. Probably best keeper since Kasper. Yes I think he is better than Mads.
  8. So not just the OG for Coady, looks like he was the closest defender for all 3 goals conceded today for Wrexham.
  9. They will be fine though, will get a manager more suited to this level probably between October and New year and they have good spending power to make more fixes to their squad.
  10. C. Coady (33' og) Their new striker seems a good purchase, but they getting taught some harsh lessons otherwise.
  11. Yeah was going to mention Cooper's Forest. Was a rescued season for them, and were the second best team in the final, and the next season they moved onwards with their opponents not lucking close to the EPL since. Those refereeing decisions were shocking, the ref's final game of career as well. Plus a ref known for dodgy decisions.
  12. Found my glasses, hes on the pitch and scoring.
  13. Our captain inured again?
  14. We look lost, players dont know what to do, and earlier keep ball was depressing.
  15. Which is what, maybe a few million? peanuts compared to the mens game.
  16. For a chance to survive in EPL, need to spend 9 figures, to be able to do it either needs a plan and balls to breach PSR, or to have spent little to get there, so there is head room in the accounts to spend that much. Meaning #1 get expenditure down. Hungry players, younger is better, but also players who have never played in the EPL. Ideally never played in England. Scrap the Pep clone identity nonsense, this is a massive factor in our problems, it hamstrings managers, and requires a limited set of player abilities. However there is importance in squad harmony so players should be compatible with each other. Clear long term plan, with the right people to execute that plan, stadium expansion should be a priority with a minimum 1.5x increase in capacity (48k+). DoF with lots of contacts in the game, lots of analysts supporting recruitment. Audit of the training facilities, do we need 10 million pitches, 5 star sauna conditions, is it good to be so distanced from fans, dont be scared to carry out the audit's recommendations. Improve quality of the coaching staff, we seem quite bare bones, and reliant on manager's bringing their own in to avoid a skeleton crew. Instead we will do the opposite.
  17. For start, the fans need to be loud and confident no matter whats going on the pitch, now days unless we winning, its dead.
  18. If a owner cant afford to lose money on this team, they have no business owning it. Running a WSL team is peanuts as well. Even taking away club loyalty, the business case is high, in 10 years time the Womens game will be worth so much more, its missing the boat by not taking it seriously and investing in it. I agree with DavieG as well of course, the history of the womens game is a shambles with teams getting a shortcut to the top divisions, teams getting kicked out to make room for them etc. The amount of talent already all congregated in a few teams, is something that should have been avoided early on. Instead we going down a road, of promoting as it seems its better to have a few dominant teams than a more competitive league overall with less glamour about it.
  19. To me that whole thing with I miss enzo I cant get over it, it should have been a sackable offence, but due to the value of him as an asset, the clubs hands were tied. Undermined the manager who actually had a chance of keeping us up. and now he isnt busting a gut for the club in return for his wage packet and professionalism.
  20. So we still want a Keeper heavy squad wasting wages.
  21. Would rather have no sponsor (and also less player budget) than a betting company on the shirt.
  22. As expected really, the usual we do our inbound business last minute.
