No worries as soon as Top gets the bank to give us more money in exchange for a few more years of EPL money, Ruud will be fired and we will start signing more players on 60 grand a week, for the EFL season.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

12 points would at least prove the people still defending FFP, that the rules arent about keeping a club solvent, because if they were, then the rules would always cap out at the penalty for going into admin. -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Chrysalis replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Happened in F1 with Ferrari a few years back. Whatever was found and decided was kept behind closed doors. I struggle to see an out come where anything significant happens to Man City, as it will make the league look bad. Hearing concluded in December, that we have no announcement yet is weird in itself. Is likely manipulation going on. -
I would love this, would bring my love back for watching football.

I agree on the club communication issues you mentioned particularly from the owners. I agree that there should be better squad planning, we really lacking here, With a focus on player mentality, cohesion and to fit the managers that the club wants to employ, so no arguments from me here. The Cooper situation you raised, I think one of the problems the club has is if we have an Owner with no football experience dictate the style of play, I think this is a no no "we need to play like man city". This direction should be led by the DoF, and part of recruitment strategy as a whole, I also think style of play should never be imposed on a manager. Of course your video isnt a "what style should the club play", its more about the organisation and planning issues of which I do agree with. Another obvious problem which is beginning to become more and more apparent, is the lack of planning for unforeseen circumstances, we push PSR to the limit, which means we cant react to injuries, players out of form etc, as is no budget left to bring people in, and it even has prevented us from letting managers go. I think when we let managers go its often a sudden decision from the owner, its not planned and thought about carefully with a replacement lined like many other clubs do, its more of a he suddenly wakes up one day and decides ok I want him gone, and then we have this unplanned rush for a new manager. Reactive no Pro active decision making, this is what I think of our transfer policy right now as well. I will try to watch more of the video later, but its good the video has been made, as the club needs major shifts of culture.

Seems easier for people to claim 2 seasons is luck than to acknowledge it. How well did Russell martin do a with a non parachute team aka Swansea. 15th and 10th it seems. So on head to head Cooper is clearly the better manager on paper. Russell's disastrous season in the EPL is no surprise as playing slow and intricate is suicidal in the EPL.

What type of football do people want to watch?
Chrysalis replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
I am not anti possession, but its the way its done. Modern successful teams, will be very direct and quick in transition, getting it out of their area to the oppositions final 3rd quickly. Even if its a hoof so be it. Then at that point its a case of do you keep moving the ball around outside the opponents box waiting for a gap, or do you continue the quick play to make it a full on counter type system, the best teams will do both ways, so they are unpredictable. The problem with Rodgers last 18 months or so, we were just slowly passing it between defenders in front of our keeper, thats nothing to do with breaking a team down, thats a team that has no idea what to do and is frit of losing the ball. Enzo wasnt quite as bad, but he still had the problem of too much of it happening in our own third, slow and intricate, and he couldnt even make it good in the championship aside from a few games against relegation fodder. The final issue is this type of slow intricate play requires a higher standard of player, a specific type of player, top quality coaching, this goes against our financial situation, we trying to adopt this way of playing with poundland coaches on the training pitch and without suitable acquisition of players suited for it. In the Enzo season I think only Mads, Vesty and Winks were comfortable with the system. The rest it was shoehorning as best as possible. It definitely didnt suit Vardy either, which made it even more nonsensical. If you are in possession but in your own 3rd, the opposition still has some control, as the ball is in their favoured part of the pitch. Doing things like forcing a team to pass back to a defender is better for the team without the ball, as its in a better part of the pitch, and a quick poach from a defender can lead to a goal chance. You either build a system for what suits your squad, or build a team for the system you want, what you can do is often forced on scouting and finances. Top is not understanding this. Trying to survive with slow and intricate as a promoted team in the EPL is pretty much relegation confirmed day 1 as well. Whenever a manager has allowed us to transition quickly, we have been much better at scoring goals, although fans of the slow intricate stuff claim its luck, it isnt. You are more likely to score when you dont give the opposition time to shape and organise their defense. So for me I want to see more dribbling, direct play to get to the opposition's 3rd, and then unpredictability when making the chances for scoring. If as well there is a weakness discovered, also exploit it ruthlessly, as an example a goalkeeper lacking confidence, just shoot on sight in such a situation. -
Of course its easy to say that when we playing cardiff, rotherham and co. This stupid obsession with slow intricate play is doing my head in at this point.

Ban the current directors.

If you was great in that era, you are a "proper" club, if you won anything in that era, you are forever a big club. If you anything in the past decade, its all fake and plastic success.
-
Seems to be a generational thing, a lot of people seem to treat 1970 and 1980s era as the true order of football.
-
Its nothing new, previous managers have reported the same for end of season planning, radio silence from the top brass seems to happen every season.

Top and Susan can do no wrong, in their minds we have to accept it.

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Chrysalis replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
A lot of us have been saying for a while, the people running the club dont know what they doing, but we do have to be found proven to be guilty to actually be guilty, its wrong for people to call us cheaters when nothing has been decided yet. Some of us pointed this out multiple years ago when we pointed we were trying to run right up to the spending limits with the large wage bill, there is two ways to run a football club, you either take the **** and stick two fingers up at PSR, treat any punishment as a cost of doing business, or keep a decent safety margin on your spending, so dont get caught out by things like not finishing in the exact targeted league position, dont get caught not being able to sack a manager, or not spend in January, that sort of thing, we clearly have been ran extremely badly. I expect every year, they do some maths, and try to get us to spend to high 90s % of limit, which gives us no breathing space and we run into problems. -

I expect their plan is to do multiple charges amounting to small amounts for each one, but an overall larger deduction when added together, are they going to all this trouble for a 4-6 point deduction? -

Its interesting fans of teams such as Leeds and Forest that have been found guilty and had previous point deductions are calling us cheaters when we havent been found guilty of anything, currently there is a witch hunt, but no proven breach of rules. The EPL recently changed the rules all just for us, we that special now. EFL and EPL are desperate to make something stick. Meanwhile Chelsea can keep selling stuff to themselves, no issues with that, and Man City nothing is happening. Also the determination to do something about something like a 19 million overspend, when a super league breakaway was just swept under the carpet, shows how messed up the game has got. -

Probably, the whole thing is run on emotions. -
She's always looked like she has some talent there, but her injury record has been horrendous. Also with our struggles to score, surely we should be waiting till any replacement has come in first.
-
Did Draper play at all, I remember this being her season to break in, she got injured whilst we stupidly let her go on international dity, did it end up keeping her out for the full year?
-
Top making a sensible decision for once? Seems too good to be true.
-
That brand of football increases mistakes and the cost of the mistakes, it was a failure.
-
If we employ either gary or martin, it means Top isnt learning, he wants this brand of football that wont work.
-
Not really, people inherit positions all the time due to family links.
