  1. He's been diagnosed (remotely, by MH experts) as a paranoid narcissist. If it doesn't get his way, he shouts down at others. The others then attempt to show loyalty to the big and threatening voice in the room. He has no trust that anyone but he himself can make the right decisions. He will only accept those into his inner circle that confirm and entirely support him. JD Vance, for example. He has to be surrounded by sycophants. A narcissist needs these people to enable them to gain and maintain control and power and keep telling them they're right.
  2. I agree. It is remarkable the depth of knowledge, experience, and expertise that this "simple football forum" provides us. Mrs Para wonders why I spend so much time on here. I tell her it's not just a bunch of supporters (although it is). It's so much more than that. I've "visited" others and they are nothing like FT. To all contributors, from all walks of life, WELL DONE, keep it up. We all make FT what it is Even Harry Burton, whoever he really is.
  3. On FT. Wow. Just, wow.
  4. From the "What Are You Reading" topic. I've copy/posted on here as it seems more relevant. I'm reading: The Body Keeps The Score. A detailed work of the research and understanding of how trauma of any kind, emotional, childhood abuse, domestic abuse, war, even trauma that one might not recognise. It's not dry or so scientific that ordinary people can't read it and be enlightened and better informed. I am reading it because I have experienced trauma in most aspects of my life/career. It is thought provoking, particularly for those experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, fear and unexpected anger, supressed grief. It offers insight into trauma and how it affects the whole (human) being that has suffered. Having read most of it so far, I can see and understand how my experiences, abused by my father, the trauma caused by my daughter's MH issues and her rejection of us, the loss of 2 granddaughters through adoption and the things I've come across and had to deal with, sometimes alone, whilst doing my job have made me withdrawn, angry, anxious, fearful, living a false existence by covering up and keeping relationships at arms length. Lack of trust in others and the fear that something bad is always about to happen. I might copy and post this in the Depression topic. I did.

  6. I hope that doesn't happen. We, Europe and Ukraine and others need to stand up against this megalomaniacal, paranoid narcissist. I do wonder if you were to ask Trump to put a pin in a map to show he knows where Ukraine or any other European country is, he wouldn't know.
  7. Lucy Punch. (unfortunate surname) from Amandaland and Motherland.
  8. If only some individuals who contribute to FT could utilise these examples correctly in their posts.
  9. I'm backing Villa to win it 2-0 AET. £1 stake. What have I got to lose? Well, £1 actually. That's a bag of carrots at Asda.
  10. With all that land there they could have made it a dual carriageway which I believe, was the original intention.
  11. Watch Geordie Heat, it's hilarious.
  12. I imagine you may have read this, but if not, do so.
  13. National treasures, it's called. Not local.
  14. I'm dejected by everything this club now is. The team is sh1t, the manager/coach is sh1t, the owners are sh1t, the players are sh1t, the "beer" is sh1t, the pies are sh1t, the toilets are sh1t, the security /stewards are sh1t, the turnstile ticketing entry is sh1t, the website is sh1t, the club shop is (not absolutely) sh1t but the merch is a rip off. The announcer is sh1t, the goal music is sh1t (from what I can remember) What is there left to feel less sh1t about?
  15. Didn't work out for Rooney either.
  16. Barwell FC? He's walked away from one club because he was crap and he knew it and for God knows what reason, our club appointed him.
  17. Money talks, mate.
  18. You know that old saying. Be careful what you wish for? Well, here we are.
  19. WTF have we done to ourselves. More importantly wtf has the management and owners done to us. They can all feck off. Every one of the money grubbing self obsessed self important twats that run our... OUR... club. Hate them
  20. I was trying to imagine the Kop singing this in unison. Ahh, if only
  21. I prefer this. Much more dignified. Imagine the Kop end all singing this in unison
