  1. Saw the Happy Mondays and Inspiral Carpets at a sold out Rock City last night. Missed the Stereo MC’s, who I prefer to the Inspiral’s, set as we went for a pint first and no set times were posted. I’ve been to sold out gigs there before and maybe it was where I was standing but it felt busier than ever last night. I went with a mate and we both said it was OK but the sound seemed a little off all night though. It’s the second time this year I’ve been to Rock City on a club night, with the gig finishing at 10pm. The Vaccines came on at 8.45, the Mondays at 9 and both played shortened sets. Maybe it’s just me but I’ve never really noticed bands using the club night as an excuse to play a shorter set, just move the times forward and come on a little earlier.
  2. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs I think it just comes down to pure greed. I don't understand it at all. The others are one bad season away from being in a similar position to ourselves. I don't think they are against giving revenue to the EFL per se, they are just putting a shot across the bows of the EFL as an organisation as a whole. The same ELF who just seem to be circling like vultures over the accounts of any relegated club who showed a little ambition. No one wants to see rich owners suddenly tiring of their plaything, walking away from clubs with massive debt and seeing them fold but their has to be another way to what we currently have. The EPL and EFL need to get on the same page here because currently the game is unravelling and the top six are on the way to achieving their super league by stealth. I don't know of another country that throws around points deductions like we do.
  3. Promotion for the money. In hindsight I consider myself very lucky to be at Wembley in 2021, and would love to see us do it again with 80000 there instead of 20000. I know we are three games away but to win it again this year, looking at the other teams left, would really require something special.
  4. Only caught the beginning of it this morning, all a little sobering. Hopefully catch the second half later today. I think the thing is most businesses you deal with in life you don’t really care if they mask their poor financial performance /numbers, with your football club it’s slightly different. It’s the emotional attachment you have.
  5. The financial mess the club is in, and I’m fully expecting a sanction of some kind next season, has drained my enthusiasm somewhat. What’s the point ? We go up and we’re financially constrained, we take a year’s PL cash but unless there’s a rabbit to be pulled from the hat we’re probably going to be back where we started. That plan that everyone seemed to be touting of let’s get relegated and rebuild in the championship is looking a little flawed right now.
  6. Just win Leicester!
  7. Any point watching the Cardiff V Ipswich game or should I just wait for the last five minutes to see if they can do it again?
  8. I am getting a little concerned, maybe it’s nearly 50 years of watching Leicester mainly doing it the hard way or snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but I can see another heartbreak looming on the horizon. Relegations aside from one promotion under Micky Adam and the League/One championship under Nigel Pearson I can’t remember anything being easy. As for this side only time will tell, they have coasted so far this season, now’s the time to make a stand.
  9. Well I didn’t actually see much different yesterday to what we’ve been doing all season, except it didn’t work. Dennis went off and we seemed to lose our way. Albrighton should have come on, he’s probably not got youth on his side but he’s an intelligent player. He wouldn’t be chipping pointless crosses into the box hoping someone would be there. I’m expecting Plan A again on Tuesday mainly because we don’t seem to have a Plan B.
  10. The only thing I can pin on Enzo in hindsight was picking Daka. We should have been out of sight and they should have been dead on their feet before they equalised. The usual retreating into our shell with 15 minutes to go, giving up the momentum and then looking lost. This is the reason people leave ten minutes early, not because they want to get to their car but very little good happens to Leicester City past the 80th minute mark. We just try and see games out and tonight it backfired spectacularly.
  11. All those chances….
  12. Cannon has to start after this, no matter how this game ends.
  13. I have no words for that!
  14. Steffi WTF!!
  15. Stop Giving Them The Ball Make Them Win It Back
  16. Two teams playing some really good stuff being let down by the final ball.
  17. And Pawson’s started….
  18. I’m beginning to understand why we don’t shoot from distance that often
  19. I’m not optimistic but I hope they prove me wrong.
  20. Let’s not just do the Spartacus thing again.
  21. Got a car insurance quote online last night from the Meerkats, expecting the worst actually came in lower by £80 on last year’s premium. Got my renewal quote this morning £120 up on last year. I went online told them the cheaper quote and they actually bought it down by £180, albeit I would be losing protected NCD. I absolutely hate them when they do this crap. I’m going to move.
  22. Expecting a substantial increase in my Season Ticket next week, going to have to really consider if it’s value for money anymore. I love watching the City, I like going to the Tigers. With Wasps/Worcester/London Irish going under there’s already been a hit. I’ve missed a few games this year for one reason and another so it’s not the best time to propose a large increase to me.
  23. Added AC/DC at Wembley, one to tick off the bucket list. Always wanted to see them and this would probably be the last chance.
  24. Getting into Criminal Record on Apple which has been pretty decent, three episodes in anyway.
  25. The away support is where there for a reason, near the drop off points for their coaches and an easy get away after the game coming into minimal contact with the home support. If we go ahead with the developments I can't see anyone at the club or police wanting to have them cross the new concourse to the other side of the ground.
