A lot of water under the bridge with daka. He has his faults. Last time in the championship he got 7 in 20 and 5 assists. Over a season that’s about 16 goals and 10 assists. That would’ve put him 2nd or 3rd top scorer last season in the championship. We need a new striker, no doubt about it, but I do think Patson would score goals at this level. Marti will like him for his pressing I’d have thought. Though I can’t get Leeds and Plymouth out of my head the season we went up.

I think you can read more into how long the players played rather than which team they are in to be honest.

There was one bit that made me take notice, a ball played to him in a tight area in the number 10 role, held off his marker turned and played a great through ball to Ayew.

He isn't the worst defender ever to play for us, but the cost and wages I can see why people feel like he is. On his day and if he stay concentrated, in this division he's up there with being the best defenders. But it doesn't happen often enough.

Indeed, 20k a year would be life changing to some people. I think most footballers know how lucky they are, but I think some don't. I know its not all about luck but right place right time and all that.

I've said in other threads, I would've loved to to have seen what Enzo would've done with us last season if he stayed. People say the style wouldn't have worked, but he did tweak the style when we played premier league teams. But fair play to Enzo and happy for KDH to get some more silverware.

I agree to some extent. But also as fans we have had very little to get excited about. Pub teams is a little harsh too. From yesterday Monga is a bit special and different to the others coming through. Page looks a player, but won’t go into the team yet, will be on bench as an option. aluko has all the attributes physically to be a good championship full back, but still needs time.(I know he played CB yesterday) didn’t see enough of Evans to comment, but has flashes of quality. Then you have Nelson who’ll be in and around the team no doubt. Alves who has undoubted ability but needs to improve decision making. The one thing it may give us this season is something different from the bench and energy.
