I met Richard Stearman in a toilet………………. Ok, so he was on holiday in Tenerife at the same hotel as me and the good lady. I went to the loo near the pool we were sunbathing at and Richard was just coming back out of the said loo. Stopped and had a chat for a while before the urge to go became so painful that I said cheers for the chat and rushed in to the toilet. Saw him a few times and he always spoke, nice guy

Apart from appearing to be tactically inept as a goalkeeper there has to be a huge confidence issue with Ward by now. I would be amazed if we are not looking at a quality replacement for next season. We are hopefully getting back to having a proper defence and they will need a quality keeper playing at his best to be marshalling them from between the posts.

What you didn’t see was all of the “yes” men he has appointed over the years on their knees in the directors box blowing hot air up towards his backside which acts pretty much like underfloor heating. He falls and pulls his hamstring and then does his ACL, randomly, as he gingerly climbs in to a runaway golf cart that careers off the main path and deposits him in to the deep bunker on the 4th whereupon he snaps his Achilles trying to clamber out. Certainly appears that we aren’t in for and seemingly haven’t been active in putting time into seriously trying to attract players that can be signed in this window. IF that is the case, bearing in mind our lack of activity in the last few windows, then we are sleepwalking towards relegation, this season, which seems to point to huge financial issues that preclude us from investing or a chronic problem in the management of the club…..or both. That being so, then why did we appoint Martin Glover 🤷‍♂️ Why have we played hardball on getting players out of the club. Why have we handed out daft contracts to staff/players. Really do hope that all of the above is either an over reaction or just plain wrong and we do pull rabbits out of the bag and sign at least a couple of decent players but not convinced at the moment
