I think the biggest issue, is that even though the majority of us understand this, enzo doesn’t quite seem to have the free pass most managers who gain promotion receive. If we lose 3 on the bounce people will want him gone. He certainly wouldn’t get the grace pearson or cooper got. So getting some early points on the board is essential for enzo really. im personally going to view this season as a free hit. As long as we are developing our players and making smart business decisions looking to the future… then i’m fine with us taking the cash and trying again from a stronger position. If we somehow pull it off, then it will just be another special leicester moment

if he wants to stay then i’d honestly rather just take whatever punishment is thrown our way. 30 m won’t be enough to get us out of a bad spot, it’s just not worth it. we’re going to likely go down anyway so let’s just hold our assets. if he continues the way he’s going, his value will double

sounded like roden was one of the players that drastically dropped off when the pressure hit. Id prefer we avoid that mentality You can’t trust leeds fans judgements anyway. Probably the worst fan base for over hyping anyone slightly good in their team.

Problem with this sort of signing is they end up on big wages because of the fact they were free and they also block the route for someone like braybrooke. Theres a good logic behind only signing players that will improve the starting 11, that way if you assess them slightly wrong they’d still have a bit of value to you… when you go for a squad filler and get it wrong… well you end up with a bertrand. Maybe someone like brownhill or longstaff is just where we are at as a club right now. But I’m hopeful we go for players with at least a high ceiling.

A huge advantage to be promoted early, as hopefully it means you can push on with your transfer activity early. Knowing us we won’t look at things until after everyone’s had a break, but seeing as we were so comfortable at one stage id like to think we’d have been doing our homework on prem signings a long time ago. This could be the most important window we’ve had in a long time as we need to get absolute bargains through the door. Whilst our hands are tied together for sales, there’s a glamour of hope that with the FFP case being so public that clubs don’t push us for that endless pot of money.

I think i can see almost exactly what he would have been tasked with though. Brendan signings- a winger that scores goals, has pace and will create… tete ticked those boxes, just wasn’t able to adapt to the prem. A big mean centre half who will fox set pieces. a left back that’s as good going forwards as backwards… he hit all the marks… with souttar, it was purely short sighted. this season, a leader… coady someone to control the tempo : winks lb with the ability to play inside: doyle is that guy, i just don’t think he was as good as hoped. particularly at defending. ball playing keeper… big tick wingers that can take on a man for fun… huge ticks. the only glover signing i really question is cannon… a talent but i’m not sure what role we were hoping he’d play but doesn’t seem to fit enzo… possibly a panic signing late in the window. yunus, i think was just poorly scouted and probably similar to tete we just thought he was better than he is. not one signing i really look at and wonder what the hell we were thinking. Prior to that though, vesty and soumare in particular don’t make a jot of sense to me. complete square pegs in round holes. * i forgot casadei but this one was purely an enzo chase so i’m not sure we can blame glover

i genuinely think the moves glover made were all right. It was the management that was always the issue. Souttar would be class in the right team as well, but he just doesn’t fit what we do.
