I personally think enzo should lean on his relationship with dezerbi and see if lamptey is available on loan. I know the injuries have been bad but the kid is raw talent and could really suit the ricardo role.

i get your points but in this case it just doesn’t appear to be lying at all. We are well on top in our games and doing so with a rotation of players. It’s not like preston who were getting a slice of luck along the way. Yes Leeds are improved, yes they should probably finish second… But the point gap we have is huge and we had just as big of a rebuild to do as yourselves. Have you considered that in such a tight table the reason some of the sides are higher is because they haven’t had to play us yet? Sunderland and norwich for example we’re doing well until they played us. I personally think there’s been enough games played to accurately assess the squads ability. will there be bumps along the way…. absolutely and other factors will contribute to where we end up. But as of right now, i’d back us to more consistently pick up points than yourselves. But i’m happy for you that your fan base is backing themselves and also has that feel good feeling back because you’ve also had a rough few years.

I think if he gets some decent enough minutes in a title winning season you’d be surprised how much someone might pay. We stuck a 6-8m option in the watford deal when his stock was lower, so i just feel a team like southampton who just got a ridiculous fees for lavia might be willing to pay a sum close to that if it’s what they need to get up. either way… 5 mill in the summer would probably make the deal worthwhile. I’m not sure I agree with everyone’s take on this. They could and should have scored from about 3 other clear cut moments… but ricardo was just a super man. Don’t think we can seriously claim they just won by a fortunate fall of the ball. They’d earnt it imo. It’s the same as how i wouldn’t have a sunderland fan saying we only won because of a goal from a corner…. we also carved out 4/5 should have been goals that we just didn’t take, it’s the same thing imo. You don’t have to shoot for it to be considered a chance. Piroe, rutter and summerville were all through on goal and were just stopped before pulling the trigger… on another day they all go in

from what i’d seen they absolutely loved him for the first half of the season. He dropped off towards the end but the whole team was a dud so it’s understandable. His ratings overall were very good? In pre-season i posted the keys stat players from every team… Hamza was the stand out for watford. That team had no creativity or goals in it but hamza did his job and he did it well. If we were lacking creativity we’d get annoyed at him as well but overall that’s not why he’s in a team

I think the situation has shifted now. Before clubs didn’t really know what he offered but after an outstanding campaign at watford clubs would see value in him. Which is exactly why there was interest in the summer. Being a squad player in what we are doing now won’t hurt his reputation one jot so i’d expect enquirers to come in the summer.

I don’t agree with that. Hamza is very much about protecting a valuable asset. whereas vestergarde and mendy were/are at ages where the value will significantly reduce anyway. I wouldn’t feel okay about hamza leaving for nothing when we know he’s probably worth 10m to a top championship club. (i wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave for southampton if we go up and they don’t) whereas if vesty walks i won’t feel like with lost any real value because at 32 we’d not be likely to get more that 4 mil for him anyway essentially is the value of the contract worth more than the value you could receive by selling them. With hamza yes with vestergarde…. likely no

the vestergarde situation is the most complex for sure. If it was just one year longer we’d get to see if he can cut it in this system in the prem. But at this age he’d be looking for 3 years and i’m not sure id want us to commit to that.
