Would like to see Silva on for Okazaki, these are just sitting back and watching us pass it around our back 4
-
James is the new King
-
This is such a nothing performance. There is just a big void where the team should be.
-
Not a great 1st half from the boys in blue there....
-
Ideal way for Mahrez to say goodbye to the club and fans would be to lift the FA Cup in May
-
Should have played Silva and Iborra instead of Gray and James. We completely lacked creativity without Mahrez, and Silva has it in bags.
-
No Silva :-(
-
Puel to slow with his substitutions. Teams needs a lift and Iborra and Silva don't care about Mahrez
-
We're lacking creativity, we need to get Silva on
-
Matty James really needs to get some sun.
-
Need Silva on for James.
-
Iborra, Silva, Diabate on, who cares who goes off.
-
You'd at least take it as annual leave...
-
He's hurt his neck, turned his head to quickly or something.
-
Exactly!!! Shakespeare out!!!
-
No Iborra or Silva! Hope we get to see them in the second half, seems a bit of a throwback lineup this.......

Man City make £50million offer for Riyad Mahrez?
jim5000 replied to LCFCb0y's topic in Transfer Talk
I don't begrudge him wanting to leave and take this opportunity to play on the biggest stage there is. Man City could win the CL this season and he has a chance to be part of that, and realistically, he's achieved all he can at LCFC and was a major part in our greatest success. The issue is how much they pay. If he is a £50m in the summer, then Man City have to pay the January premium, they are taking away our best player. If VDV went to 'pool for £75m then this transfer at this point in the season and the transfer window should be £70m+ -
I want to see Iborra / Nididi / Silva in the middle together. It would be the second coming of Lennon / Savage / Izzet!!
-
And we have Southgate as manager :-\

I think if Mahrez played for Man City, in the position Sterling occupies at the moment, he would seem even more skillful and probably could surpass Hazard and KDB. But he is hampered by playing with the likes of Andy King and Danny Simpson. As a result he has far few opportunties to show his skill, and teams can reliably double or triple up him making his job that much harder.

Kasper Amartey - Morgan - Maguire - Fuchs Ndidi - Iborra - Silva Mahrez - Vardy - Albrighton

Is there penalties today? Not sure I could face a replay like this...

His second half performance showed why we haven't been rotating enough. We have had the same basic first 11 for so long that the backup players never get a run in the team. Yet they are all players that cost £10-30m. We expect them to start or come on at first team levels when they haven't played any first team minutes for months and instantly perform at the level of the first team players that have 100+ matches in the bank. Amartey demonstrated this with his sending off within 10 minutes on his first appearance but with 2 games behind him is starting to seem vaguely competent. We have somewhat paid the price for having such a settled first team for so long, none of the backup players have gotten the run to acclimatize themselves, and the attack is so build around Vardy and Mahrez that any players playing cameos will never shine as they are not Vardy or Mahrez. Puel seems to be rectifying this, and keeping us competitive and competing for 'best of the rest' this season. You can't ask for more from a non-starting striker to start and score, and that's exactly what Slimani did.

I would say Albrighton has been one of our best ever buys. A free transfer from Villa when we first got promoted and he has been instrumental in our most successful ever period, unfairly overshadowed by the likes of Vardy, Mahrez and Kante

He's been here 13 matches, our squad is terrible, give the man a chance.
