That is until United played Leicester! We ended their unbeaten run of 10 games, and following season the 4-2 win was one of a number of results that led to his dismissal. I am surprised his name still comes up given he has not been a manager since Man U - 3 years ago. I think I wouldeven prefer Cooper - but that is a reflection of the anticipation for future of City if OGJ was to become manager.

Oxford United full back Peter Kioso speaking on Ben Nelson: “Nels has come in and done what he’s needed to do. Credit to him, he’s still a young lad and I feel like he’ll go to the very top in football, just from his mentality and how he reads the game, and how composed he is. It’s hard to see that in football nowadays from a player that young, but it’s credit to Nels. He’s come in and waited for his time to be given to him, and he’s taken it with both hands.”

Brendan Rodgers manager of the month in Scotland for September. 1 October - Borussia Dortmund 7 Celtic 1. Not a good start if he wishes to retain MoM!

This despite Cooper's insistence to recruit forwards with PL experience in terms of Cordova Reid and Ayew; both signings reflect their value to Fulham/Palace which is zero or very little. In that respect, both have lived up to my expectations.

Message to the Board - if you sack Cooper (which I hope you do) please don't appoint Lampard (or Gerrard)!

I don't follow your argument. Pagers replaced mobiles because communication with these does not emit a digital signal - which enabled location to be tracked. An individual in a specific location could be connected to the pane so could bee attacked. This is completely different to implanting a detonation device to pagers which could be activated through a message. Perhaps you are suggesting all phones should be banned because they can be tracked and subsequently bombed with causalities to all around

Debut for Stoke on Saturday v Oxford - hardly got into the game and no threat to Oxford defence (which had Nelson on bench throughout). -

Colin Ackerman shared in a record 5th wicket partnership for Leics - 477 v Sussex in 2022. He now has shared in a record 5th wicket partnership for Durham - 424 v Lancs -
There is nothing wrong with dynamic pricing in itself. Anyone who has bought an airline ticket or a space in an airline carpark will have experience of dynamic pricing. The price changes periodically from when it is first offered on sale. There is dynamic pricing with football tickets in banding of games - or if you take advantage of 'Happy Hour' in your local. There is a problem with changing in pricing whilst a customer is trying to buy a ticket and finding the price has changed whilst they have been logged onto website. At the moment a customer enters a company website trying to buy a ticket for an event, that should be the price at checkout. In other words, prices should be clear at outset and should not be changed once a person is trying to buy a ticket. (Just to relate to Oasis tickets - pricing could change for new customers whilst on sale, but not whilst someone is in a queue.

I don't agree All the main indices have increased over the past 12 months. The AIM top 50 is actually up 50%; the best performer of all FTSE indices. The AIM all share is up nearly 5%over this period (although down slightly from a high a month ago).

I have not seen such a suggestion so perhaps someone with technical ability than me (probably most of you!) could set up a petition to board not to sell and to KDH not to leave? If he is lining up in a City shirt on 19 August a fans thank you would be appropriate eg perhaps a clap on 22nd minute if squad number still the same?

Contrived circumstances (as recognised in records). Previous record was 38 by Flintoff. This is an amazing achievement (and from a centrally contracted bowler as well ). This record will last for decades; i hope it gets proper recognition in national media. -
Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR

It has -except when there are English officials (France v Netherlands) -
It seems likely we will sign Rodon. Faes has the greatest value of current centre backs and it make sense to sell; I am sure he would command a similar fee to that we would have to pay for Fatwu. (or if considering receiving transfer fees, I would think better not to receive Bologna's money for Kristiansen.) In other words, both Fatwu and Kristiansen both greater assets to City than Faes. I am sure there will be interest across Europe with a current Belgian international player...

This is starting very soon (and is separate from charges regarding PPS). It was reported in the Times (behind a paywall so cannot copy) but there is a very good podcast https://www.thetimes.com/podcasts/the-story. Also a good summary here: https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/premier-league-sponsorship-trans-associated-party-transactions-sanctions/ Essentially, Man City are arguing rules that rules on inflating sponsorship deals (which is against PL rules) is tyranny of majority and illegal). The outcome of this will be huge for football if successful. Aramco (or Saudi Arabia) could put even more money into Man City. Chelsea, Villa and Sheff Utd all owned by Gulf state owners were 4 clubs to vote against this. I am surprised this has not had more publicity to date given effects of outcome - and those on FFS charges v Man C i be heard November .

kushiro - what a superb post! Really interesting: I had no idea about these cards in cigarette packets; googling Arthur Chandler (perhaps the only name I know until after WW2 ) I see he was featured on a Gallerher's cigarette packet card. Any idea when cigarette cards started and ended? -
Yes, but if GS decides he will leave after Euros, it would probably be into next season before a new appointment is confirmed. Clearly too late then, Potter will need to make a decision immediately if offered City job.

I thought I was an older poster but this is before my time - thanks (from a young man then!)

I'm hoping Bologna don't wish to pay agreed fee and we keep him; I thought his abilities, energy were great - far better than others in our relegation season. He may have made some mistakes, but I don' t see a player not able to adapt (and improve) to any manager. (and that would have included in Maresca in Championship). It would be crazy to look for alternatives if we don't have to.
