Brentford (A) Saturday 3pm - Match Thread
TMELcfc replied to tcrofts's topic in Leicester City Forum
Just more proof Top and Rudkin need to go, this squad is awful Managerial decisions are mostly awful Transfer business is mostly awful Fan engagement etc has nose dived since his father passed away. Just a poorly run club from top to bottom -
I’d like Top to sell up now. The atmosphere in the stadium sums up how I feel about watching Leicester… and how I feel Top cares… with little or no interest anymore. Sell, board complete change, manager change, and it might spark an interest again but the fun has been sucked out of us for past 2-3 years.

Got to use international break to sack and bring someone in who can get a performance out of this lot. I’m sure they’re better than this
-
Not been great to this point but at least he finally picked what I think, is our best side. N’Didi on thin ice though
-
First away game I’ve been to in a while… thought we were controlling the game without really hurting them. Which is disappointing bearing in mind how fragile they’ve been defensively. individually, I think we have better players, but we play like a newly promoted side. Happy with a point… however, as much as I’ve been annoyed with coopers team selection and tactics this season, as (imo) I felt he finally picked our best team. Anyway, all in all, what I watched was 2 teams likely to go down. Only difference being was we had players who could come off the bench and make a difference. Ipswich didn’t have that. Southampton and Ipswich will go down, it’s just whether we can find another team worse than us to go with them or not Soumare by the way… he did more in 15 mins than any midfielder today and he’s had loads of stick (rightly). Vestergaard and Faes need to stay now as our centre backs
-
The feeling around this club for 2+ years is awful. And it’s all down to the owners. Top Rudkin Whelan all need to p*** off
-
Very likely he’ll go down as one of our worst managers in recent history

I thought Cooper might not be too bad, having done well getting Forest up after being bottom 3… winning u17’s World Cup (I think) with England… But it looks like he, knows as much about football as Rudkin. -
I’m not defending him and football that’s been served up.. but when I flicked on sky sports news he was talking to the players, first one he approached was Ricky
-
This is definitely it… it didn’t bother me that he’d been at Forest, I was and still am, much more concerned with the club and how it’s being run. Top and Rudkin are top of my list of people who need to leave and are the ones who ‘don’t know what they’re doing’ but with a lot of fans it’s Cooper who needs to go. Can’t say I’ve watched every minute and certainly had no appetite for last night but his starting XI and substitutions definitely haven’t helped with his induction… and the football, has not been pretty. But I still firmly put the blame at boards door more than I do Cooper
-
Rudkin out KP out Future of this club is grim with them both here
-
Poor appointment but again… this is on KP and Rudkin for running a sh** show of an operation for last 3-4 years

I’m sure people forget this is happening 🤣 that’s why we were down before we kicked a ball in my mind. Useless board, poor manager choice, points deduction (could be 12 points if both go through). Which is why in these home games, just give it a go and try and give the fans something to enjoy - rather than this dull crap every week -

Rudkin out -
If it is the keeper, then I guess Iverson is definitely off... Storlarsyk (yes I know, no idea how you spell it...) is injured for a while, Smithies retired, leaving us just Ward... So can see why, but as others have mentioned, I'd rather some attacking players! However, we signed BDR and Ayew... when we already have Fatawu and Mavididi... Oh I don't know anymore with this club, there clearly isn't a plan other than spending to pick up another points deduction and find ourselves with a mountain to climb getting back up next season, with a load of 30 somethings on high wages, that no-one wants
-
I’d still rather Rudkin go before Cooper… this clubs is the pits compared to the Vichai days. KP goes - then you’d think Rudkin would go Or KP stays and they have to grow a pair and sack him - we are definitely going down if it stays the same. We have probably a minimum of 12 points being deducted, meaning we would need 52-53 points to give us a chance… and from what I’ve read / seen, including preseason, there’s no way we are getting that
-
With points deduction coming, I’m surprised anyone thought we’d stay up anyway? That being said, they might as well have a go while we are here, rather than just go down with a whimper. Minor point, but why JJ is starting ahead of Ricky I have no idea. When fit, he’s one of our best players
-
Spurs mate said good signing… but £20 mill is typical Levy, he squeezes every penny and our soft as s*** director will bow down to his demands. Smells of championship but we are probably going down anyway, especially if both points deductions go through
-
King Power out
-
The hatred should be directed towards Top and Rudkin I've basically lost all interest in football over last couple of years because of those two. VAR, FFP, Gareth Boregate etc have contributed to it, but it’s mainly down to those two clowns - just lacking interest
-
Switches on to watch first mins of pre season so far… switches off. Clubs a mess top to bottom Football is a mess Watch darts… much more entertaining
-
Are you happy with Steve Cooper being appointed (as looks likely)?

The desire for Potter over Cooper baffles me… Is it the fact Potter wore a turtle neck at Chelsea for 5 months? Or the fact Cooper managed Forest? I’d rather neither but I don’t get the massive sway for one over the other -
This hatred towards Cooper must just be the Forest thing. He’s probably done more than Potter 🤣 One of the few people to win a tournament with England national Team - took Forest from relegation zone to prem and probably would’ve kept them up And we can hardly be picky 🤣 we’ve got no money, an incompetent board and chairman plus a points deduction coming. Our focus should be on the board not the new manager, whoever they are
