West Brom - Potential PSR breach
BKLFox replied to The mullet of Phil Gee's topic in Leicester City Forum
I bet we hear something on this before the w/end. Win win this for WBA they are going to get a 3pt deduction EFL will say we have hit them hard & did what we said we would by giving deductions in the same season & WBA will say ok we won’t fight it, because they don’t need to now. Its going to be a totally pointless punishment & every other team in the league would rather punishment comes for the start of next season -

We've won 1 game in 2026 not really sure there was a good time, maybe they should have done it the night of that game. -

I’m confused don’t we have a thread lambasting the club for its lack of acknowledgment of both the achievement & player recognition? Not sticking up for the club here I just want to know which track I’m meant to be on now 🤷♂️ -
Couple of new coaching additions to be made soon as 2 leave at the end of the season. Sadly & surprisingly Brett Deacon moving on as he wants to experience something different & it’s rumoured he’s going to Gloucester as their forwards coach ending his long relationship with Tigers. Peter Hewat is heading back home to Oz after moving here from Tokyo in 2024 to work with Michael Cheika as attack & backs coach.

I’m hanging on to the things happen in cycles theory & dropping into Lge 1 last time ended a torrid cycle and then kick started the most successful cycle in the clubs history….i’m just hoping we are at the end of this bloody cycle mind.

Marshall’s (Yellowstone) 8nt all that. Not really sure where the storyline is taking us or even if there is a storyline to take tbh. Currently it’s chat about nothing over a beer then out on a quick shoot’ em up then back for beer & repeat 3 times per episode, or am I not getting something?

Agree with the 1st part but how so for the ending? Germany does seem to be a good place for young players, away from home town fan pressure, media, creates independence which in turn models character then on the playing side probably not as physically demanding allowing talents to mature. The last sentence not so sure that he ‘deserves’ so much better than Lge 1 as, and through no real fault of his own, he’s done nothing & that’s because he’s 16. I’m all for fast tracking someone but they have to have really shown they can compete, I mean people on here saying Sammy Braybrooke now ready for Lge 1 after a stint in Lge 2 yet he could comfortably hold his own in the championship by now for sure. That’s to say Braybrooke is currently more established than Monga. Monga could be wise to stick with us play the LW for a full season week in week out he’ll probably get to where a lot seem to think he is going a lot quicker than a season with an elite academy then a few seasons on loan before being sold because that elite team buy the next big thing and blocks his path.

Sad thing is Gabriel would have gone down & rolled for sure
-
Haaland kept him on the pitch for not being a little bitch and going down rolling around, if he did Gabriel is off….but shows again lack of consistency as VAR would usually pick it up 1 way or the other
-
Listening to these 2 saying good old English football battle no 1 wants to see that as a foul etc etc (Haaland Gabriel) yet in the box they would be saying penalty you can’t do that 🤷♂️
-
Thank god for the Tigers. Fully expect the final to be between Saints & Bath, and probably rightly on balance, but it’s just nice to see a team fully engaged, wanting it & fighting for the fans and themselves. Parling certainly hit the ground running

Rowett bigged up Aribo this week suggesting his skill set is better suited for a scrap…so he starts Hamza. He bigged up Richard’s 2 weeks ago suggesting he could cause problems for opposition due to his rawness snd being an unknown quantity…he’s not even made the bench since the words came out his mouth. 9 pts from a possible 30 is it, Christ I hope he does 1 once it’s confirmed that we are down, also (if somehow) we do make it he is also escorted from the estate as it won’t be down to him it’ll be down to the FA/EFL hitting WBA hard.

Does Rudkin have a son?

bit unfair to call him sicknote & shite. He hadn't been there long when he got an ACL then not long back after that he gets a prolapsed disc, both done during strong tackles, which ultimately ended his career at just 23. So 2 major injuries in a time when treatment facilities weren't what they are today & hardly pulling up with constant hamstring, calf, groin or metatarsal injuries. As for being shite you could tell he had something about him prior to the ACL but i guess if you don't play you're shite

Well what an absolute shambles the EU are making of the EES rollout. Q the “well out is out etc…” but that doesn’t account for the way this is being handled.
-
Nelson not dropped but out for remainder of season with a thigh injury (as is Okoli with a hamstring injury)

Players that are leaving or should be leaving in the summer of '26

I would imagine there is a price on every head of those still in contract tbh. I’m not even sure we could say we will build a team around those break-through academy lads at this point due to finances & a lack of future manager. We don’t have any Premier league bound players, Fatawu at a push maybe, but Championship clubs could strip us of any nuggets we think we could build around & hopefully they do for certain players, the likes of Mavididi for instance. If League 1 it is to be, you would like to think those that we have out on loan will be safe from being poached from teams in the championship but still be able to hold their own for us to be competitive, Braybrooke, Cartwright, JJ, Alves, Wilson-Brown along with Popov & Evans. We then get into those who are performing well in the unders currently but the main names have all been linked to premier lge academies so unknowns there also. Of all the players that have had a 1st team start this season I’d only say what a shame if unfortunately sold are probably Aluko & Nelson at this point & at a push Page because he would then make up the 10th outfield player with the guys name checked already and then add in a keeper we have a starting 11 & all academy who should be able to be competitive in Lge 1…. It’s a start. Keeper Aluko Nelson Wilson-Brown JJ Braybrooke Cartwright Page Alves Popov Evans Then add in from there -
Should Millwall and Boro both lose, then a draw will be enough for Coventry to seal their return to the Premier League tomorrow 😔

Statement from Tigers with regards to the ladies squad Leicester Tigers are pleased to announce that they have agreed an enhanced strategy for growth, additional investment and continued commitment to Leicester Tigers Women, heralding a bright future for the club. The plan will see a strengthening of the programme with new and enhanced roles, both on the performance and commercial sides of the business, together with a robust development plan for our playing group. Over the past five years, the programme has made great strides in promoting rugby to women and girls within Leicester, Leicestershire, and the surrounding areas. Partnerships with Lichfield RFC, Nottingham University and UXI continue to grow and the intention is to evolve those partnerships for the benefit of all parties and provide opportunities at all levels for both player and staff development. On the field, the club has gone through a period of transition, with Director of Women’s Rugby Fraser Goatcher and Head Coach Ross Bundy joining in 2025, their key emphasis has been on developing players, and their young side has seen huge growth in potential. Given the increase in funding and planned revenue growth that the programme will receive, we are all excited to see the progress that will continue to be made in partnership with PWR.
