At this point I’d accept anything if I was told that it didn’t include Vestergaard or Faes. Reluctantly I’d sell Mads H & Bilal to finely balance the books and get us back in the black, the bad PSR seasons should be dropping off the FA/EPLs “lower clubs restricting” window & it’s time for a reset. Would listen to offers on any player tbh. We need to address CB at least 1 new to go with HS, BN & CO, then a dual footed RW/LW & CF as a must. Theres enough in every position in the rest of the squad to be getting us up if the 3 positions mentioned above are filled. With any funds recovered we need to be buying a few hidden gems & to make proper decisions on our academy lads especially those that are 21/22 play them or get rid. Everyone likes a cup run but next year will be about promotion so ensure a good chunk of the academy lads that are on the fringes get plenty of game time in the cups. The aim will obviously be to get up at the same time be able to use some of the academy & hidden gems from the get go if we find ourselves in the premier 26/27 season, allowing us to offload some of those stinking the place out that will still be here but without then having to backfill to many squad slots allowing us to just be able to add some quality not wholesale changes. I would also not be giving new contracts out Willy nilly until the end of the 25/26 season when I know what league I’m in, who my manager will be & what formation I’ll be playing in that following season.

It’s often said on here that when a manager finally plays to his strengths then he is good but what exactly is his strength? Is it that he can ping a pass from the halfway line because if so is that a strength or a weakness of the opposition? For me he’s 1 of the worst CBs in premier lge history let alone our worst CB. He can’t play in a high line against 90% of premier league opposition & he doesn’t come away with 7+ in a low block, he telegraphs his passes, he can’t head a ball in either box despite being the tallest player on the pitch, he bends like a piece of paper in a tackle please can we stop suggesting a manager should play to his strengths because the only strength he has is being able to dust the corners of a high room!

I have never been fooled by this charlatan from the minute we signed him. I was still very critical of him last season unlike a few & who ever is in charge must tell him, & the board, he will not feature going forward, so he sits in the stand and draws a wage till he retires or goes and does something elsewhere to prolong his career (said in the loosest of terms) We must be the only side where our CBs haven’t got their head to a corner in either box.

Paul Gustard leading the race to take over from Cheika in the summer, 2nd place is Stuart Lancaster. Happy with either of these 2 choices, Gustard has just got a promotion with Stadt Francais as they just sacked their head coach so it might get complicated if they try and keep him. Lancaster is a free agent after leaving Racing this month and looking to get back into English rugby.

Basically other than Liverpool no one has had any consistency with anyone beating anyone throwing up some crazy scores ta boot but Man C, Chelsea & Newcastle are all starting to restore the boring order of things and will no doubt jump Forest within the next 2 games. It was a fortunate point for them tonight otherwise they would be 4th and within a win away of being 6th, Villa down in 10th are only 6pts from them I don’t see them sticking in top 4 or even top 6.

After another goalkeeping blunder yesterday, Enzo has hinted he will look for a new #1 in the summer.
