Man C have just brought a 15yr (16 this year so like Monga) highly rated goalkeeper from Hibs for £230k, that figure makes me chuckle when a few think we will be getting a few £m when Monga goes but the interesting thing is in the same article it name checks at least 3 other highly rated keepers he will join, all aged 17. The chances of this soon to be 16yr old working his way through just those 3 + anyone else his age or older standing between him and Edison to take a 1st team slot must be some outrageous odds + take until he’s well into his 20s. If/when Monga goes he will be up against another 4 or 5 Monga’s + better players vying for the same position & whilst if his reasons are to get the best training and test himself would be admirable the odds of playing 1st for Leicester before Man C are greater. He’s more likely to spend a season in the U16/17s in Man C academy before being loaned out to a Luton, then the following season a Hull and so on, when & given how Ruud is talking he could have had 2 or 3 seasons in our 1st team (hopefully) at a higher level than what he may get in the next 3 seasons. I also think some are thinking to far ahead, 15/16 into men’s football that is a massive leap mentally, physically, financially and 1 that could destroy him and see him out the game in his early 20s, thinking Ravel Morrison (financially), Jack Wilshire (physically) & a 2020 study of just 3719 players recorded 13.6% suffered from mental health issue attributed to pressures of playing, I’d imagine that percentage is higher now.

Now you done S4 and waiting for S5 to drop probably next year, have you started GEN V there are 2 seasons & it gets even madder than The Boys if that was possible.

Not sure I can agree with that how many of the best young playing talent have come out of Man C academy yet didn’t play for Man C, Delap etc who will get a good move this summer but off the back of playing for Ipswich not because he came from Man City, Christ even Cole Palmer had to leave Man C to get game time.

For sure we need to be showing him the expected path to the 1st team, which it seems is happening by way of 1st team training, put in travelling parties, 121s with Ruud & next is into the squad but everything else is all down to him & how wide his eyes & ears are open. He's probably mates with Tyrese Noubissie he'll be advising what it's like at Man C, he's only 15 also & aware he has an injury but where is he within the Man C academy & 1st team route, was he playing in the older age groups remembering that Man C academy unders are all going to be of similar / better quality as they go up. Nyoni's a little different in that he's already 17 which is a big jump in development terms, but he's still not played in a premier league game (sat on the bench for 4 games granted) then just 4 times overall in the FA/EFL cups & 26mins in a position pointless Champions league game which is great don't get me wrong but Liverpool can afford to give him those minutes when they have games or qualification all wrapped up bring on the kids. We are fighting relegation & yes how worse can it get but if it doesn't pan out we could destroy him as well as the whole structure of the squad (which yes needs knocking down anyway) if it does go pear how do you get the others back n side....looking at a managers view not fans we want something to happen but the managers gotta skirt around the full picture before making wholesale changes i guess.

I get the excitement but he’s 15 and still growing, I believe he’s only a small lad 5ft 2in or something like that, could be hereditary and he’ll always be a small lad or in the coming 4yrs his head won’t know what his legs are doing & it could all got flat for him regardless of where he is. Not sure chucking money at him will do the trick, can you even chuck that amount at him at 15 anyway & would he end up being another Morrison, I’ve made it? Delicate times, all the club can do is to continue to nurture whilst advising him on its vision for him, after that it’s all on him and any grima wormtongue that holds his ear.

People can blame the club all they want & thinking giving him a game will make him stay, haa... This will be down to him we can offer anything you want but end of the day most young lads will follow the big badge for the 'likes'. Gone have the days of managers like Fergie saying to the young lads don't chase the money, chase the dream of being the best you can be & stay where you will play in order to make that happen..with the added The money will follow once you have achieved that dream. He'll go to Man C, he'll get more than he would here but he's 15 so its not going to a great deal more, he certainly won't be turning out for Man C 1st team anytime soon especially after the season they have had. All the big clubs will be spending just like that did after we won the league because they have all been shocking & a 15/16yr lad will not be jumping ahead of £80m+ established talent, he'll hang around being loan'd out & eventually sold for £20-30m to a middle sized club when he's 20 like all the others they have had. It really would be in his best interest to stay put make his way into the 1st team getting games under him & that big move will happen, we know he won't stay but atleast he could be part way / or firmy established by 18-20yrs old & then that move could be completely different...but sadly we know what he will do & what those around him will be saying.

Tom Wilson-Brown got his 1st 90mins today in a Killie XI SPFL reserve league clash v Dunfermline which Killie won 2:1 I can't see much in the way of reports to see if he had a good game or not but it's not long finished so maybe later tonight/tomorrow morning there might be something published locally.

Read the 1st reports today from the red tops that Southampton will sack Juric end of the season and their top target is Danny Rohl as he was after Martin was sacked but turned it down then. With connections there would he now likely go there even if we did approach?

Where as Burnley have not conceded since Xmas that’s 12 games with 2x 22yr olds forming their CB pairing. Rest of that defence has a 22yr old keeper, 21yr LB and for a bit experience a 29yr old RB They have only conceded 9 goals in 38 games & only lost twice, to many draws keeping them behind SU & Leeds but that much mocked Scott Parker certainly has them being the most rounded team in the division and on paper probably the best suited to stay up out of those 3.

Don’t think they will ever be better than 9,10 or 11 but at the same time no risk of going down as who ever comes up will year on year. That said did I hear that they are thinking about doing away with relegation from next season & if so will they extend the number of clubs in the league?

At this point I’d accept anything if I was told that it didn’t include Vestergaard or Faes. Reluctantly I’d sell Mads H & Bilal to finely balance the books and get us back in the black, the bad PSR seasons should be dropping off the FA/EPLs “lower clubs restricting” window & it’s time for a reset. Would listen to offers on any player tbh. We need to address CB at least 1 new to go with HS, BN & CO, then a dual footed RW/LW & CF as a must. Theres enough in every position in the rest of the squad to be getting us up if the 3 positions mentioned above are filled. With any funds recovered we need to be buying a few hidden gems & to make proper decisions on our academy lads especially those that are 21/22 play them or get rid. Everyone likes a cup run but next year will be about promotion so ensure a good chunk of the academy lads that are on the fringes get plenty of game time in the cups. The aim will obviously be to get up at the same time be able to use some of the academy & hidden gems from the get go if we find ourselves in the premier 26/27 season, allowing us to offload some of those stinking the place out that will still be here but without then having to backfill to many squad slots allowing us to just be able to add some quality not wholesale changes. I would also not be giving new contracts out Willy nilly until the end of the 25/26 season when I know what league I’m in, who my manager will be & what formation I’ll be playing in that following season.

It’s often said on here that when a manager finally plays to his strengths then he is good but what exactly is his strength? Is it that he can ping a pass from the halfway line because if so is that a strength or a weakness of the opposition? For me he’s 1 of the worst CBs in premier lge history let alone our worst CB. He can’t play in a high line against 90% of premier league opposition & he doesn’t come away with 7+ in a low block, he telegraphs his passes, he can’t head a ball in either box despite being the tallest player on the pitch, he bends like a piece of paper in a tackle please can we stop suggesting a manager should play to his strengths because the only strength he has is being able to dust the corners of a high room!

I have never been fooled by this charlatan from the minute we signed him. I was still very critical of him last season unlike a few & who ever is in charge must tell him, & the board, he will not feature going forward, so he sits in the stand and draws a wage till he retires or goes and does something elsewhere to prolong his career (said in the loosest of terms) We must be the only side where our CBs haven’t got their head to a corner in either box.

Paul Gustard leading the race to take over from Cheika in the summer, 2nd place is Stuart Lancaster. Happy with either of these 2 choices, Gustard has just got a promotion with Stadt Francais as they just sacked their head coach so it might get complicated if they try and keep him. Lancaster is a free agent after leaving Racing this month and looking to get back into English rugby.
