Doesn't matter how good your midfield is, if you can't defend corners and your keeper scores a O.G

Is this the beginning of Vardy's decline?
coolhandfox replied to vanity's topic in Leicester City Forum
We don't create enough chance for him, be get the odd one per game, hence his high conversation rate. Stick him Liverpool or Arsenal sideband he would be get around 25-30 goals. The most improved player over the last four your by mile, has a better touch, passing range and game awareness. If he gets injured we would be fighting for are lives at the bottom of the table....... -
My worry is he's gone a little stale at the club, has little competition for his place, look complacent to me. Can't remember the last game were he was top draw and was the reason for us picking up extra points. Need kick up the arse.

Watford (a) Post-Match Thread (2-1 defeat)
coolhandfox replied to MC Prussian's topic in Leicester City Forum
Does matter who you pick, if you don't do the basic right! Organisation and marking a corners as complete mess and an a very poor goal keeping error. They had one shot on target and a O.G from Kasper, we could have easily won the game. I love Kasper but he's not having the greatest of seasons, he's very hit and miss! Xmas period is alway difficult due to the number games, our squad has limited quality. -
Harry Maguire will be a big player for us.

Every club is a selling club at the right price...….. -
I would say thing are moving in the right direction rather then it could be special, our style of play is developing, we are looking after the ball better, whilst still attacking with pace. If we can improve our defending of set plays, we would be a very decent side. Top 8 doesn't look beyond us and we are handle place in the league cup.

You can, but you end up paying 30 million +

Your Top 5 Best ever LCFC center Midfielders
coolhandfox replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes he did but I thought, we got the better end of the deal, never the same again after he's leg break. Forgot all about Scott Taylor, he was another quality player who's LCFC career was cut short by injuries. -
Maybe not the best but his 6 or 7 out of 10 every week, one of the few players to show the same form week in, week out. He's no Cafu or Dani Alves but he's a decent RB.

Thompson was excellent under little, good on the ball and a eye for a goal. -

Nice litttle bonus, had £50 on us at 4 to 1! Great game and two fantastic goals! When was was the last time Vardy and Mahrez scored in the same game? -
The Claude Puel Era - what will he bring?
coolhandfox replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
Good post, we look more comfortable on the ball, however as you allude to, we need fullbacks who are more comfortable on the ball, and a number 10 who is more influential, hopefully Silva can be that number 10. We need to evolve, we can still be counter attacking team, but we need to be better when we have the ball. The guy has had 4 game, 1 win, 2 draws and a loss, the PL is about fine margins, we could easy have had won both the Stoke and West Ham games. -

Is Shakespeare the right man for the job?
coolhandfox replied to Ian Nacho's topic in Leicester City Forum
Haha really, we couldn't beat Arsenal when they where play 3 leftback as centre half. They were there for the taking but we couldn't defend long balls into the box. I will give you Liverpool... -

An excuse, Watford, Burnley and many more are doing fine. Wasn't he suppose to be the choice who galvanised the players, yet they still want to leave. Let be honest we could have and probably should have been beaten by a poor Bournemouth and a newly promoted Huddersfield. -
New contract yes, 4 years no.
-
Good to see him get game time, can only be good for us
-
I'm not staying Vardy should start over Kane, but felt Kane wasn't great tonight and Vardy should have been on around the 60 minute! For me I'd be playing a 5-2-1-2, with Vardy and Kane upfront, with Alli in behind and use our fallback for width, as I think our wide players are for a better word bobbins!
-
Kane could turn up with a broken leg and he'd still be pick ahead of Vardy! Same a DD, not going to the last tournament as England preferred two players returning from injury from two big club rather than a key component of the champions. Englands a closed shop, always have been, always will be, it's about making money sell shirts, not about winning anything. The only way the FA will get is house in order will be when Wembley has about 20000 turning up!
-
I'm not so sure, anyhow Kane untouchable for Southgate, so I'm not sure Vardy will get much time. Suits me as I'd rather not watch another FA yes man waste another summer at a tournament. No Vardy, no need to watch unless Harry M plays.
-
Feel for Vardy, how is he behind WelSh*t now in the pecking order?

Anyone who doesnt realise Arsenal were there for the taking, should have another look at their backline for the game. My worry is that he's not been able to sort out our issue of defending set pieces and cross, it's been our achilles heal for the last 12 months.
