  1. It shouldn’t pain you. He’s head and shoulders above the others as our best CM - although that says a lot about our other options
  2. He looked much better when he had time and space. Especially when they went down to 10 men. I think it will be a frustrating season, however, if he leads the line as the number 9. I’d much rather get a more natural striker in.
  3. 3 points is 3 points I suppose. The lack of creativity in midfield is a worry and Winks must start if he stays. We need a new midfielder ideally. We also need a new striker. Ayew looks ok when he is the withdrawn striker, but doesn’t stretch the play or hold the ball up like a number nine. I’m not a Daka fan, but I think I’d rather have him lead the line with Ayew behind him if he plays. Of course I’d much rather neither and get someone in. A word on Faes. Big ego for a poor player - I get it. But what people get from boo-ing their own players I’ll never understand. Like that’s going to help!
  4. He won’t mind. He’s a bit “silly” himself. That’s why they call him ……..……
  5. If that’s your position I suspect that you’re going to get progressively more irritated as this thread develops 🤣
  6. A good player for us for a long time. He had his limitations that prevented him becoming great, but that’s probably why we retained him for so long. I have mixed feelings. His impact hasn’t been as great recently and he always has a spell out with niggling injuries, but I don’t have any faith in us being able to recruit anyone as good. Especially from the position of a club in the Championship
  7. The prospect of starting Ayew as our first choice striker makes me want to vomit in my mouth, but the knowledge that it might be our best option will probably ensure that it will quickly become projectile
  8. Wrexham have taken Danny Ward and Conor Coady. They are fast becoming my second favourite team ❤️
  9. Is Soumare dominant at anything? 🤔
  10. I can’t be bought
  11. Well that depends on your definition of anOdYne. I personally like the keep-ball style as long as it’s progressive. The problem comes if we’re promoted to the Premier League where it’s easily countered by squads full of higher quality players.
  12. Ha! That was obviously your Cue for a silly joke
  13. Apologies. Should’ve checked the thread first
  14. At this point we’d probably have more credibility if we were sponsored by: Pornhub
  15. I wonder what AI could do with that?
  16. That’s just plain wrong 😉
  17. Yes. I’d fully admit that 😆 I try not to be the sort of person to correct grammar on a football discussion forum. If, however, you are that sort of person then that’s ok - as long as you make sure that you are (yourself) correct.
  18. No! It’s not expressly stated, but it’s reasonable to assume that “money” was the implied noun in the quoted phrase. Money is an uncountable noun and, therefore, the correct determiner would be “less”
  19. From Wikipedia: “On 26 April 2024, his QPR side kept their Championship status after a 4–0 win against Leeds United, which ultimately sealed Leicester City's promotion to the Premier League after a year's absence from the top-flight.” He’s already contributed to one promotion
  20. Actually, reading the OP and the way it’s currently punctuated I can only deduce that the author (himself) got off at Leicester. Not sure why that’s weird unless they don’t live in Leicester and just randomly got off when the train stopped. I’m waiting for further information about John Terry and “another guy”.
  21. Looks like I’m in the minority here, but Dyche would be our most uninspiring appointment since Dave Bassett. Those supporting it seem to advocate that we should embrace our new found sh1tness. The same logic that saw the likes of Bruce, Hughes, Pardew and Allardyce on the football manager merry go round for so long and that saw us sign Ayew, BDCR and Edouard last season for “Premier League Experience” If you look at the managers who have achieved promotion in the last two or three seasons they seem to not really fit this mould of “tried and tested”. We’ve forgotten pretty quickly that Maresca was an innovative and progressive appointment however much his football philosophy divided our fan base. Leicester are the size of club that are unlikely to keep a manager for long. If they succeed they will leave or if they don’t they’ll be sacked. Far better, in my view, to decide what the football philosophy should be and recruit consistently within that model. To go from Maresca to Cooper to RvN to Dyche in successive appointments would be reflective of a club in disarray with no sense of direction - which is precisely why it just might happen
  22. I do hope Rudkin is paying attention to what needs to be done to attract the right manager …
