Soumare has no excuse. Time to show something (anything) after 4 years of ambling around doing **** all.

Soumare signed in July 2021 and has shown absolutely nothing. Can't believe he's still starting games for us more than 4 years later. -

I'm not moaning for the sake of moaning, but it's really disappointing that Nelson isn't starting and there's no Monga, Evans or Page on the bench. It is only Game 1 but I hoped Marti might make a statement. We're going to lose talents like Nelson if we pick useless twats like Vestergaard ahead of him. -

Gutted. We've lost a key player imho -
I'd forgotten how utterly pony the refs are at this level. Absolute jokers

Wilfred Ndidi Joins Beşiktaş On Permanent Deal

Love Wilf! Will be following his career at Besiktas. Wish him nothing but the best. God knows we need reinforcements now though. Our central midfield options are horrific. We look so weak down the spine of the team, especially when Mads leaves too. It's great having good wingers but that spine is virtually non-existent which is a major worry for me. -

Spurs in for Nico Paz at Como. -
I'm gutted. Mads is a difference-maker at this level. He's quite a bit better than Jakub imho.

Jamie Vardy’s signed for Portugal?! ****ing traitor.

Good player, great passing range, pace of an arthritic sloth 🦥

Come on Skippy, time to step up and earn the gurn!

Besiktas confirm they are close to signing Wilfred Ndidi

On the plus side, £9m is decent business for a player who is past his best. I hope he does brilliantly in Turkey. On the downside, it's a bit sad to see a long serving player leave - especially as he's been a real fans favourite for most of it. The way he bought into all things Leicester was really impressive. More importantly, he was probably our best CM. Our options in central midfield are pretty awful now he's gone 😕 -
What an awful shortlist of potential captains we've got. The fact Hamza is so close to the top of people's list is an indictment of the club I'm hoping we can get Josh Brownhill in as he brings leadership.

Someone's agent is busy! -
I feel like a few people are underestimating how important having a keeper who's good with their feet is in the game in 2025. It's not really good enough to just be a good shot-stopper anymore. Cifuentes likes a counter attacking style concentrated on the flanks, I'd imagine he'd favour a keeper who can play accurate passes out wide. Mads was absolutely key to promotion in 2023/24 and so I'm gutted to see him go as I think he'd be vital. I understand why it's a good deal, though. Wouldn't be surprised to see us sign another goalkeeper to properly challenge Stolarczyk.

Unpopular opinion here: I'm not convinced by Jakub. Not by his footwork anyway. A pretty significant downgrade on Mads, IMHO. Hope he makes me look a twat for saying this
-
I reckon you're spot on there. I'd be very surprised if it was £20m up front.
-
Our what now?
-
Guy I know who supports West Ham messaged me to tell me he's heard we've dropped our asking price from £25m to closer to £20m. It seems the Victor John thing may have been a ploy to get us to drop our asking price. This would be pretty consistent with the info above.

I really think Bilal will be dynamite in the Champ if we can keep hold of him. -
I like Wilf. Seems like a top pro and a good guy, but £9m would be very useful right now. I wish him all the best in Turkey, if that is where he ends up.

I half agree although having to look at your own face ID just before having a tug is a little bit soul-destroying.....so I've been told

Premier League 2025/26 Thread

I think anyone with a modicum of business acumen would have known that KDH would be moved on fairly sharpish (as you say). So on that basis, I'd say 'no', he probably didn't -
