  1. Fuchs isn't a good defender?? Quite the contrary, Fuchs is a very good left back. His positioning is excellent and his ability to stop crosses is good. He's a good tackler as well a good solid all round defender. He also has a killer cross and shot on him. The year we would the league and the season after he was Mr consistent and knows how to deal with fast aattackers. Yes he made mistakes, but to say he really isn't a good defender is a bit harsh, but that's your opinion. I think you may have forgotten about Ryan McGivern.
  2. I just hope he's learning all he can from Fuchs about the defensive side of his game while he can. For me, that still needs work before he can even be considered for international level. Definitely a work in progress, but playing week in week out will aid in his development and confidence. Still think Fuchs is better overall technically, but chilwell has age on his side.
  3. Or people used to football manager style of viewing
  4. Lloyd Dyer always and forever. Love his randomness and his goal that guaranteed us promotion...with his right foot!! Blessed with massive ability?...no but he never gave up and always put a shift in. Full backs hated his unpredictability and his speed. Christ, I don't think he knew what he was going to do!! Another is Iain Hume. Again a grafter and stood out when everyone around him was failing him. Bruno Berner...still loves the club and was way too good for us in league 1. Cultured and calm full back who added stability to the back line. He was only beaten by my next favourite left back in Fuchs. Actually add Fuchs onto the list.
  5. He looks sooo young when he 1st signed! He's one of Sven's if not the best signing he ever made! He's grown with the club. So glad he believes in the club.
  6. Am I weird in saying I'll miss the geezer if he goes?
  7. I get the feeling that's a franch thing. Lots of French people sound bored and monotoned I've notice.
  8. What utter tripe!! I actually saw players playing for their manager and enjoying it, which shows to me he's won the players back. He needed preseason to sort out his team, to get ideas across and to mould them into what he wanted. Based on what I saw on Friday, it's a good start (not result though) but everyone was positive, even after the game. Fans were positive, players and manager. Maybe puel has stamped his authority on the squad? Maybe the reason the assistant manager left was because he was giving mixed messages to the team? Maybe the players have realised puel has a ruthless streak in him and isn't afraid now to drop big names and they've recognised that? I don't know, but I felt quite positive after Friday and I was expecting a thumping. Getting rid of a manager in 3 games time is bonkers and we'll have to start again...AGAIN!!
  9. Ooo, a bit of positivity on Foxestalk. Must be the start of the season! Let's 'ave it!!!
  10. This is just here for click bait for plane spotters. I feel disappointed.
  11. Maguire would be mad to go to man utd, it's such a poorly ran club at the moment with Mourinho at the helm. Mourinho is self combusting, which for a young player isn't good to walk in to. He's better to stay, play regularly and then go next summer if he wants to play for Man Utd that badly as the lunatic wouldn't be there. For the record , I wouldn't sell him at any price especially this late in the transfer window. I absolutely hate the way Man Utd operate, so underhand and dodgy. Hate them more than ever.
  12. Are we still clutching at this one?! I'm still yet to be convinced if I'm honest!
  13. Is this thread clutching at straws or have I missed something? Seems to me there's nothing concrete from anywhere and every time we are linked in an article its very vague. I personally can't see this happening at all, not this late on.
  14. So play Benalouane?
  15. Four brave words to be put on Foxestalk. I salute your bravery.
  16. Completely agree, sadly. I slated Simpson when he started playing for us, but I've changed my perception of him. Works hard and ended being a reliable right back as you can get. It was noticeable when he wasn't playing. Will be sad to see him go, but he leaves with good faith and with his reputation massively enhanced.
  17. Yes, but that's modern football for you, unfortunately. I don't like it, or agree with it. But if that's his flaw, then I'll have to accept it.
  18. Don't know if it has been mentioned as I'm being lazy to go through all the posts, but didn't Albrighton look sluggish and slightly wider? Didn't look like his usual self at all.
  19. It is, but makes you think...why would he accept going to palace? Surely he's better than that? If his attitude is to come just for the money, then Im not surprised we haven't been linked with him. Shows a selfish attitude to me and that is not the sort of player that we need at the moment.
  20. I was very impressed. Would put him higher than Benny at the mo. But needs a loan to gain experience to furtyhis development. One to keep an eye on that's for sure.
  21. Chilwell was awful and was definitely our weak point in defence. He has to be one of the most frustrating players in a while. I think he's got the technical ability but his brain fails him too often. I worry about him. Choudhury would benefit from a loan deal to a high championship side. Get regular experience then he'll be in a better position. Certainly not ready for regular prem games yet. Johnson impressed me. Again needs experience, but looks like he certainly got the talent.
  22. Those damn brown envelopes
  23. Maybe they meant and Moore youngsters or many Moore players?
  24. He'll definitely say something as that's how he operates. Unsettle players/teams before a big game to gain advantage. But at the moment it looks like he's doing it to his own players. That should be enough for Maguire to not even consider Man Utd. Jose has a habit of ruining players and not a good track record with younger players especially. Man Utd are a mess at the moment at its been created by Mourinho.
