Bitcoin? I'm more into the real money snizzle, not a shiny pixel. This is the most random post on a thread I've ever seen! Troll or not, this has to win the most off tangent post award.

Players you forgotten had played for us
fox_favourite replied to copunk's topic in Leicester City Forum
Patrick Kisnorbo - I remember when we all thought he was the best defender at the time, it was a shame he was always injured in his time. But Tunchev was a class defender, far too good for League One. I was gutted when he picked his knee injury. Apparently, only retired last year. Fair play to him. Another defender I'm not sure has been mentioned but was a great left back for us...Bruno Berner. Loved that guy. Best left back at the time, only recently been superseded by Fuchs in my eyes. -
Chelsea fa cup quarterfinals
fox_favourite replied to shailen_patel4's topic in Leicester City Forum
Considering he scored and had 2 assist against Hull, I'm pretty sure he isn't cup tied. He suits Chelsea style more than he ever did Arsenal, so he'll definitely be more of a problem for us. -
Not the most inspiring game to have the pleasure of watching, but a win is a win and a place in the next round. Chilwell worries the hell out of me, made far too many simple mistakes or made the wrong decision. Needs to step it up. I did notice that when we scored Vards never went over to Mahrez and vice versa. Wonder if Vards is annoyed with Mahrez about the saga?

No one gives too much of a monkey about the FA Cup anymore. Also the opposition doesn't help, if it was a 'top 6' side it would have sold more tickets. Also being a Friday night in half term wouldn't help either, lots go away this week.

This is more the squad is be expecting rather than want... Jakupovic, Amartey, Benny, Dragovic, Fuchs, Gray, iborra, Silva, Barnes, Diabate, Iheanacho. Subs - Hamer, chilwell, N'didi, Maguire, Vards, James, Mahrez. But would love to see Huth play some part. May see Morgan if he's alive and managed to get his stair lift installed at his house.

All this money talk doesn't convince me at Stirling is not a diver. Does he think he's in Ducktales and diving into a massive pile of money? Or is this just his home life that has transferred to the pitch? Wonder if @Naz could explain, much appreicated

I have been really impressed with Dragovic recently. He's been solid, reliable and a calm influence in defence, never looks rushed or panicked. Watching him defend shows the quality he has. In a home game (think it was Swansea) he was virtually on his own when the opposition counter attacked and the way he took the runner wide away from goal and isolate the attacker was a thing of beauty. It allowed the rest of the defence to get back in position and we cleared the ball. His reading of the game is a big improvement over Morgan. He has to be a player we have to buy in the summer, surely. I also feel that was are seeing the beginning of the end for the old guard.

Lower league opposition with heavy tackles and sometimes late tackles flying in. -
I was the same. I wanted extra time but love the fact Bristol have won! Fully deserved

This is something I've noticed as well. Does the the 6 second rule still apply to keepers holding on to it? This isn't a dig from Saturdays game, I've noticed it a lot recently. Refs seem to allow the keeper to hold on to the ball for up to 10/15 seconds. I find it highly frustrating, winning or losing. They need to clamp down on it. I also feel keepers have too much protection from refs.

Because he thought he'd embarrass Newcastle a little on their 125yr birthday. Anyway, who cares the ball hit the back of the net and we won. I'd take an Okazaki bizarre moment for that. Love that guy!!

Mrs Vardy and Dennis Wise going to the jungle!
fox_favourite replied to weller54's topic in General Chat
Dennis Wise is just a pathetic little man. -
Dots under the I and O, that's what they are

Watched a couple of U21s and he has looked very good. You can tell he's played in a full league before. However, it will be a jump to not only play in the prem, but in a side lacking confidence. Also, I don't think he'll suit a 2man midfield. A 3 with him as the top maybe, but just think it's the wrong time. Maybe worth a shout against Leeds though.

It always makes me laugh when I see these sorts of threads so early in a season. Give him 10 games at least. If you want to move on from Shakey (he still has my backing a the moment) who do you realistically want to replace him and why and what would they bring? Quite a few are suggesting to move on from him, but no realistic suggestions on replacement. -
These comments i can understand more, and partly agree. It's my concern, however much players love being here, that they will now have a taste for the European football and will want it more. People like Kasper and Drinky who aren't getting any younger and who i can imagine are hungry for success. Mahrez is different as I've always thought he'd leave in the summer anyway. But I think Gray just needs to be more consistent, he could be a ready made replacement. Kasper will be the hardest to replace. Young talented keepers are hard to come by and, if you do, lure them away from their current club. He's right Top 6 will be a tough ask, but if we do things right, we could be one of those teams that are always there or there abouts. This summer will be big for us on the recruitment side
-
I laughed my way through most of this. He contradicts himself by saying we should be ashamed to go out in the quarter finals, yet says there's no disgrace going out to Athletico Madrid?! Also, comparing us to other teams is a kind of compliment, but a back handed one. What he doesn't mention is budgets. These teams have a bigger budget and spend £££ on players. Moaning about our tactics? But didn't we score and had worried when we changed to a target man up front? They are used to playing against passing football style, that's why they can defend it so well. They weren't used to playing against that system so it put them on the back foot. Surely that was a good tactical move? If we played the passing or "sexy football" that he is suggesting Madrid would have just closed the space and not let it happen. And anyway, it wasn't all just hoof ball. I thought we opened them up more with on the wings. Bizarre comments from an arrogant man. He reminds me of Katie Hopkins, who justs says things to be controversial and to get in the news. Shows lack of intelligence to me.

Benalouane needs to be given a hell of a lot of credit in the past games he's played. I was really worried at the time Morgan got injured, but have we missed him since? Not really. I had my doubts about him, but I'm happy to see him prove me wrong, and then some. He's been terrific for us and that performance against Madrid was outstanding. He has gained a lot of respect from me and I hope it continues. The question will be, what will happen when Huth and Morgan are fit together again? It'll be so harsh to drop a guy that's helped us to successive clean sheets and put in a MoM performance against one of the heavy weights in European football. Benalouane - I salute you!
