  1. Just finished watching Southland again, by far one of my favourite shows with The Wire, a great watch!
  2. Definitely asked to play a different game for England, plays very central and makes very few runs into the channel as we see for Leicester. Tried a few runs across the line but it must be frustrating watching every pass move sideways as you've just created space for yourself.
  3. Horrific officiating again in this match, by the laws of the game Mascherano should have been sent for treatment an age ago. Feel the ref wasn't willing to put the Argies down to 10 men temporarily.
  4. I'm a proud owner of a double-barrelled name, as far as I'm aware it came about from my Dad choosing to take both his fathers (who passed away) and his step-dads surnames. As my uncles chose one name or the other, there are only 5 of us in the world, my dad, mum, brothers and myself. Growing up I think other kids used to think I was from an upper-class family It's a nightmare to write on any kind of form, and as a colleague told me, ruins excel document formatting.
  5. Watched this myself on Sunday night, really enjoyed it. Supposedly player X is Tobey Maguire, comes across very badly.
  6. Travelling to Lisbon a week on Thursday with the Mrs and another couple. Anyone got any recommendations for must go to bars, places to eat etc? Pretty much got a plan sorted but just trying to see where other people have been that have made their trip to Lisbon great.
  7. A Forest equaliser would have kept Barnsley up, either way fair play to Bolton and Burton both went out and showed some fight more than what can be said with Barnsley who were the only of the 3 with their future in their own hands.
  8. I think the salary expectation must be club policy. I applied for a position within the academy staff last year and had to provide a CV and salary expectation for the advertised role, whereas every other club or similar position I have applied for has been a CV and cover letter.
  9. Just starting the final episode of Save Me. Saltfish dumplings
  10. Aye I was wrong. Part of a very good Harrogate side, believe he's not been starting as much recently still on 10 goals and 6 assists for the season which is decent enough.
  11. They brand these numbers around like they are somewhat impressive, just disgraceful how much control these companies have over a sport and the impact they have on the fans of these clubs.
  12. Multiple answer phase tests don't count
  13. Looks nice, definitely going on the list, cheers mate! I knew you'd pop up with some recommendations, cheers mate. Done Cologne and Krakow, the other 3 I'll look into further, cheers pal! Salzburg looks a great shout, I'll forward these all on to the boss and see what we go with, cheers lads!
  14. I have 6 weeks off beginning of May, Mrs doesn't finish until end of June so thinking we are going to have to do a few weekend City breaks to stand any chance of getting away with each other. We did Krakow last year which was great, what do people think of flying Friday evening and returning Sunday evening so she can be back in Monday? Looking for any ideas as well, we are looking at the usual options, Prague, Budapest, Barcelona, but if anyone has any recommendations that aren't so typical I'd love to hear. Going to scroll back through this thread tomorrow for inspiration.
  15. More concerned about what's going on over on the left side. Have we bothered to fill the full back and wide position or are we playing with 9?
  16. If those Mahrez quotes are true, he'll most likely be rotting in the U23s. Grow up mate, not our fault our club valued you at more than the manager you so desperately want to play for.
  17. Currently working with a guy who's just returned from working with the Right to Dream academy, pretty impressive programme. They have a lot of players who have gone on to scholarships in the US even playing in the MLS, and I believe have just taken over a Danish second division club to help get more of their players into Europe. Interesting project and worth checking out.
  18. Sport scientist/strength and conditioning coach is up there, I love my job and it never feels like work. The pays not greatest but I wouldn't change it for the world.
  19. Two games in and I'm horrifically bad at this haha
  20. If you're not happy then I'd say straight up tell her. No one should try to share the rest of their life with someone who their not happy with, it just leads to further issues. If that isn't reason enough for anyone I don't know what is. Just make sure you've got some protective gear on when you break the news.
  21. Unbelievable miss from a yard out, definitely should have scored. Boly is a beast of a man, who's the lad with the bleach blonde hair? He was everywhere but maybe didn't contribute as much as he could have. Good following from your lads.
  22. Wasn't overly impressed by Wolves, looked like a good team throughout but nothing that had me on the edge of my seat. Barnsley rode their luck today but were deserving of a point, good result!
  23. When I was 18 I used to work in a village pub with a waitress who was drop dead gorgeous, the kind of girl you get nervous around especiallly when you had as little confidence as me. We finished work one Saturday night and with us both having our respective friends in town it made sense to share a taxi in. On the off chance both set of friends were in the same bar, and us playing catch up stood at the bar together having a few drinks. As the night progressed our group merged into one and my confidence grew and we spent the night dancing and chatting. At the end of the night we grabbed some food and jumped in a taxi home with some friends with her cuddled up to me on the back seat, result. Got back to the village, jumped out the cab, both living in opposite directions I grabbed my cheesey chips and headed for home to which was greeted with "aren't you coming back to mine?" to which I responded "nah I'm hungry". Whether I was too drunk, hungry or just not quite confident enough to see the job through I'll never be too sure, but my mates made work hell for me making sure everyone who frequently visited the pub was aware of my failings, including her dad who was the chef I worked with!
  24. Yesterday for me highlighted how important Danny Simpson has been for us, gets my vote.
  25. Not sure, it's a very very soft penalty but there looks to be some contact although as previously stated we're a camera angle away from being sure. He's definitely played for it, but he could easily argue contact from walker knocked him off his stride. If they do ban him they risk setting a dangerous precedent for how much or how little would constitute a foul/dive.
