  1. I was there too. 18-ish year old Zaha tore us to pieces
  2. Wolves away 03/04, 4-3 loss after being 3-0 up at halftime. We'll never play worse than that second half.
  3. I'm really only watching for Vards at the moment. A Vardy goal still gets me excited. Other than that, it's turgid - I'm just hoping there will be three worse teams than us, and we can go again this summer and have a proper reset. If we go down I won't be gutted, if we stay up I won't be excited. I've not really felt like this since I watched my first ever game. Rodgers last season was horrendous watching but I was still devastated when we went down - this year I don't really care.
  4. Important to keep in mind this is a side who have spent €430m since promotion three years ago. In the same timeframe we've invested €160m, while losing the likes of Barnes, Maddison, KDH, Tielemans, Castagne, Fofana. There seems to be some dismissal here that they have much better players than us.
  5. I think we looked as good as we have all season first half and could have put the game to bed really. Terrible mistake for the goal aside, looked comfortable, just made the wrong decisions at the business end. Two terrible errors for the goals in the second half and they completely gave up, I couldn't believe what I was watching - felt we could have stepped up a gear and got back into it even 1-3 down but they never even tried. 8 more wins needed. Let's start next week.
  6. My mates kids go to the same school has Vardy's and he talks to him a lot, goes for beers with him at the local. Reckons there is no chance he's leaving. Kids love the school, the family is very settled. I think we can expect another year or two.
  7. I hope this club can for once do the right thing and if either of them are retiring or leaving this summer, let us know ahead of time so they can get the send offs they deserve. Would be tragic if they just left with no fanfare over the summer as with Kasper.
  8. Does this feel worryingly similar to last season in the sense that we can all see the wheels coming off well in advance of the general public/media? I felt absolutely resigned to relegation last season watching the first half of the season, we weren’t really in the conversation for relegation broadly until the last few weeks. Seems like the world has us pegged to break all existing records this season - but watching us, it feels like we’re a long way off the pace and in real danger of getting dragged to the playoffs.
  9. Interesting I didn’t have that take at all really. Looked very comfortable on the ball and was coming well for crosses.
  10. Useful if you view it as a training exercise. Think it showed Souttar and Coady can slot in if needed, Akgun is interesting in a number of positions. Unfortunately also highlighted how we are going to really struggle if we’re without Winks at any point, and that JJ might struggle slotting in for Doyle - which I’d assumed would be a straight swap. Doyle had made mistakes defensively but his cross field balls are so important to us.
  11. I take the opposite view, I want us to win this trophy so badly. I’m desperate for Vardy to complete the set. Desperate. I need it.
  12. Well this is ****ing infuriating.
  13. United as #2/3 I reckon.
  14. This is absolutely superb, regardless of the opposition.
  15. He could have gone about it in a hundred ways. He went about it the worst possible of those hundred options. He’s a ****. Nobody wished this on him, I do get a smile that they’ve spunked £150m on Chilwell, Fofana and Drinkwater and combined they’ll probably end up with less than 150 league appearances when all is said and done.
  16. Iverson Justin Soutter Faes Kristiansen Albrighton KDH Hamza Barnes Vardy Daka That’s not a terrible platform to build from tbf. Barnes we might need to sell but I think his stock has dropped so not sure we’d get appropriate offers.
  17. The fans will drag Everton over the line regardless of what we do. West Ham will be there for the taking, I don’t think they’ll rest players necessarily - but those players won’t be playing full tilt and risking injury.
  18. Ah come on now, can’t be critical of this game at all. Executed perfectly, kept it at 0-0 and then had a few chances at the end - fair play to Smith. We’re still going to go down, but it’s not because of this game.
  19. Newcastle is an absolute write off, their last home game, they’ll bulldozer us. Think we can get 3 points at Fulham, and it’ll leave us needing something from West Ham. A safe West Ham team at home. I think we’re going down. Forest and Everton will pick up 5+ points from their remaining games and I don’t trust us to be able to win that last game.
  20. We’re only going to see him play for us another 11 times, let that sink in. Gutted.
  21. I think we might be lucky with timing this summer. United with Fernandes, Arsenal with Odegaard, Chelsea with Mount (and about 6 other attacking midfielder types) won’t pay the money for what will be backup (wrongly, but still). I don’t know if he’d be a fit for City, and he seems to have his head screwed on - so might look at his mates Grealish and Foden barely playing and not fancy it. Not sure Spurs or Newcastle match his ambitions. Contract extension, club captain, sensible release clause, one more year to try and rebuild with him being gone in mind. I believe. (Though he will almost certainly go to Newcastle)
  22. Ward Castagne Amarty Faes Soyuncu Albrighton Ndidi Tielemans Perez Vardy Nacho 1-3 Foxes, Forest in the semis, Vardy completes the domestic set, happy days
  23. Chilwell is really up there for me. Really irks me. That knee slide for the offside goal was one of my all time fave Leicester moments. Kane. Was so lazy and shit with us. I hate that he's gone on to do good things. I absolutely am on my knees for us to beat Spurs in the league cup final this season so Vardy can get the full set while Kane ends up trophyless.
  24. This is so obscure but the one that sticks in my memory too. Scenes on that boat/bar before the game too.
