Even if we don't improve, I'd much MUCH rather have a youngster like Nelson getting minutes than someone like Faes stinking the place out. On yesterday's showing he's certainly not worse, and at least he's one of our own and we can look towards the future with him. As you say, its our attack that is causing us the biggest issues. We should have the quality in the championship that even with an error-prone defence you can outscore the majority of teams - just look at how successful Coventry are this season. It's an approach that will be punished in the prem, but that's a problem for another time. If we can't score more freely then we're not going up, simple as that.

I'd take him as a DoF/Sporting director, or even something like Academy coordinator if he wanted a slightly less intense role. As much as I love NP I don't think he should come back as manager. Ideal scenario would be Rudkin out, NP in as DoF with someone like Susan back to support from the exec side whilst Top prepares to sell the club to someone who actually gives a sh*t. But that ain't happening.

Whilst that does make sense as a reason for stoppage, surely if the game continues then reaction to something like a goal could potentially increase risk to the individual and the response team? Even if you assume nearby spectators are going to be sensible in that situation, I'd still have thought the best course of action would be to pause the game for however long it takes just to remove the unnecessary risk. Glad to hear he's stable, hopefully he makes a full recovery x

Aye. I think my closest league club now is actually Oldham, keep meaning to get over for one of their fixtures at some point. FC United of Manchester even closer, for non-league. And plenty others to pick from as you say. Always found the whole 'second-club' thing weird though and picking up a new team to support somewhat arbitrarily just feels odd to me. Ditto. I renewed, despite living near Manchester now. Plan was to still go to most weekend games but forward my ticket on to family still in leicester when i couldn't attend. Now its quickly shifted to the opposite; my ticket is de facto up for grabs by family unless i explicitly want to attend, which has been less and less as the season progresses. But its also proving harder to find someone to take a free ticket sometimes Last year I said I doubt I'll renew, and here I am now. But this year I'm already fed up with it and committed to not repeating that lapse in resolve. If there's significant change to the executive management of the club I might be less inclined to step away, but how many years have we been saying that with no (positive) changes in sight - on OR off the pitch.

I've defended Thomas in the past as I think there are times when he's been criticised for things that weren't entirely his fault (lack of support from the winger, or whichever CB he's next to being atrocious). But that good will only goes so far and today he's been properly amateur. Criminal that we don't have a proper LB option on the bench, especially when we've got Aluko fit and available.

He'd be a straight swap for Winks, presumably. As a sub for this season but integrating with the first XI, then taking over if Winks departs as expected in the summer. If Soumare and Skipp can find a way to repeatedly get into Marti's system them there's no reason why Braybrooke can't also.

Exactly. At the end of the day... maybe he's ok with that? He's getting a good wage playing football for his hometown club, being part of some of our success and even if he isnt quite at the standard of a mid-table prem side (as we'd hope to be) he is a reasonable back-up at worst. He's not going to play for England or get a transfer to a CL club, so he may well be content to play a role here even if its not the most glamorous. It's exactly what King did for years after dropping out of the first XI and we all love him for it. I've said it before in match threads but I think most of the situations where he's looked most exposed are primarily down to lack of support from either the LW, LCM or LCB. A stronger fullback like Ricardo can cope in situations like that because he's clearly above the normal standard in this division. Luke isn't, and suffers as a result. He's ok and actually wants to be here, so yeah, not worth stressing over at this point. Maybe if we get promoted and he's still our starting fullback next season then there's cause for people to grumble, but we're not there yet.

To me this reads as "Either you go or I do". You don't tend to get rid of someone because a relationship soured and then also get rid of the other person involved. Susan's gone because Rudkin isn't. In other words, Rudkin will be here to stay... I do hope I'm wrong, but...

I've spent far too much time on wplace in the past but haven't been on in a while. Happy to get involved with something large for LCFC. Made a start on the badge a little bit south of the KP in a slightly clearer area, circles are a pain and i might've gone a bit too big (255 diameter...), but wanted to make sure it stands out against all the 'noise' from all the smaller pieces I'm a high level so my 'charge' caps out at about 1k, so even when i'm less active i can still contribute to at least 2k/day

If - big if - we can sort out our attack, we'll have too much for Wrexham. Ayew needs dropping and we need to try something different up front. No idea what that is, maybe Carranza is ready to start and Ayew can be an impact sub (which he was actually OK at last year). Daka, even, if JJ is up to speed and we start creating actual chances that suit him. I'd even be half-tempted to play Mavididi in the more central role, with a Monga/Mavididi/Fatawu switching up a bit during the match. There was always a lot said about how intelligent Lampard was, not just on the pitch/football intelligence but in general. Especially when in contrast to some of those other ex-players who've gone on to management. I can see why they're all lumped together a bit - when they all started retiring from playing and getting manager gigs it did feel a bit like they were getting jobs bigger than they should based on their experience just because of their names. But Lampard seems to be making a better go of it as a career than the others and after a few rough early seasons at his clubs (not all down to his management) he seems to be stepping up a bit and doing well
