  1. We're pretty crap
  2. There will be a sending off for a second yellow. Hard to tell for which side. After which the ref will avoid a red card for a second yellow
  3. Anyone got statistics? What proportion of goals conceded are on our right hand side? Is our utilisation of an inverted right back a particular vulnerability?
  4. I'm not looking forward to watching on Friday Do we deserve to be top of the league? I'm beginning to yearn for the traditional back 4 I thought Enzo system was partly about wingers taking on fullbacks Vestergaard is considered one of our best players We're top of the league I'm a bit mixed up
  5. I'm a sad middle-aged bloke too. So I will comment too on Hamza in a thread about another player. Hamza is a footballer. He is ridiculously remunerated like many footballers. He plays with passion. He has not reached the levels he seemed to have the potential to reach. If he's on the pitch, the manager sees him as the best available option and he puts in a shift. He's too good to be a back up player in this league. He will not reach Ricardo levels. Ricardo seems worthy of a mention in this thread.
  6. They've been relegated mid-season?
  7. Sevilla are a top flight club in one of Europe's top leagues. Bit Ndidi might be able to do better
  8. He wasn't. He is a good player. You're probably sure there is no racism in the age thing.
  9. It was said it would take players time to get used to his system and we would get better as the season went on. Perhaps his effect was actually more immediate. Which players seem to be improving currently. We are top of the table. To me, we need to still be top of the table for me to see him as a great coach at this stage. He has consistently had good players at his disposal; struggling to fill one position shouldn't lead to massive problems. I feel disappointed by recent form but we are still top. Over the next few weeks, there is an opportunity for him to show how good he is as a coach.
  10. Happy birthday for tomorrow
  11. I remember watching that first goal on Match of the Day. I was only 7. Memory is weird; it seemed/seems like I was already established as Leicester fan at that time. I'd only been to one or two games. Seeing the players come over. Instantly recognising Rofe, Worthington, Sammels, Weller... I'd forgotten about Sammels.
  12. Grammatically, "I'm not here for an English lesson." would read better. A sentence requires a subject. Your effort works if we accept that you were intending the passive voice. It may be appropriate to have two signs next to each other using the passive voice: Not here for an English lesson; No ball games.
  13. They need Chair to try to help them get a cushion between them and the relegation zone. If he's not playing they ,ight sit back and find they have no support from their more advance players.
  14. The way we are currently playing may suit him
  15. Does being condescending strengthen your point?
  16. This is possible if we play a 3-4-4 in possession and a 4-4-3 out of possession. I don't think it's 'end of' as I believe we'll play a goalkeeper. End of. Start of. Middle of.
  17. Hope. Not expectation. Particularly hoping Marcal and Raikhy prove that my hunches can be poor.
  18. Crap officiating. Deflections.
  19. If we were buying 20 million If we are selling 45 million
  20. Over the game, we were the better side. For much of the game that was irrelevant as we were 2-0 down. We started well. From the start, it was clear that Middlesbrough are a well organised, well coached side. Their movement in possession was such that we were talking about how potentially dangerous they were from about the second minute. Their movement off the ball was energetic and they had players with pace. At 1-0, our negligent throw-in saw them use that pace and movement incisively. When we were chasing the game, I thought there was a good chance they would score again. I thought we recovered really well. Vardy and Vestergaard missing chances made it seem inevitable we weren't coming back. That said, I couldn't believe people were leaving with ten minutes to go- do some people not now how much can happen at the end of a match? It was fantastic to see Vardy roll back the years, get ahead of their defence, and finish. The last few minutes were some of the most engaging football I've seen for a while. Losing was tough but I enjoyed what I saw as an intriguing game of football.
  21. In more than one thread
  22. It's unpleasant when a player becomes a scapegoat.
  23. We're reduced to choosing between two expensive internationals
  24. We need to strengthen. If we keep Ndidi, I think we have the basis for a mid-table Premier League team but I think we are weakest at cb. Hemansen, Ricardo, Justin, Winks, Ndidi, KDH, Fatawu, Mavididi and Daka could all do ok. Stolarczyk, Nelson, McAteer and Cannon would be good back-ups. And possibly Yunus, Hopefully, Alves and Braybrooke emerge. We might sign Doyle. There's an argument for retaining Vardy and Albrighton. I have doubts about the others. Coady looks a bit sluggish. Choudhury seems to be playing at the right level now. Souttar is not favoured. Others are out of contract. Hopefully, we won't need a mad window. Hopefully, we won't need to sell KDH ro fund incomings.
