Saturday 3 August v FC Augsburg pre-season friendly
l444ry replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
At least Cooper will now know for sure who needs to go out on loan after that performance. But why can't we just stay in England and play more friendlies with smaller squads like the old days. Even Rodgers split his squad for games on the same day. Pre-Season is made so complicated these days, so much so that the players don't know their arses from their elbows. -
200 Leicester fans floating up the Thames on a Boat with a Bar. What could possibly go wrong?

Proof that Little Tommy Ten Names Army Recruits are a Pork Pie short of a Picnic!

Shite to watch but dunno what people are expecting. Palermo left all of the back four on the half way line or deeper, completely nullifying our front three (all poor tonight) and controlled the whole show from there. No point expecting our lot to play as if it’s a cup final. But was a bad watch.

Sorted.34 spots left.

Is this sold out yet?

Disappointing but not unexpected. At least it would seem to draw a line under further financial crap we were facing and maybe the purse strings will now be loosened to start an interesting period for Cooper.

Might well be a fish out of water when Enzo gets the bullet.

Switzerland vs Italy - Saturday 29th June

Worst performance I've seen from an Italian side for many years. But one goal is a dangerous lead. Get Jorginho on and anyone for Scamacca and the dial might move back. -

We are struggling for quality up top. Have been for years. Anyone has a chance, especially the Swiss. Hope that Italian defensive organisation can solve the problem again. -
130 pages on Rudkin. Blamed for everything from having too much faith in Rodgers, which is the real cause of our current problems, to the price of a pint at the KP. Strange old world.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

He broke through Forest's glass ceiling and paid the price with his reputation. -
Are you happy with Steve Cooper being appointed (as looks likely)?

Was never very confident that Maresca's style would succeed in the Premier League. Just glad the position has been filled by someone that might be more pragmatic in his tactics and approach. Not overly inspired yet but his track record is nowhere near the disaster in waiting being ridiculously painted by so many. -
This doesn't bode well for the price of a bottle wine in hospitality. Went up from £32 to £44 last season.
-
Judging Cooper's historical track record on the basis of two thirds of one season in the Premier League with a Club hardly likely to pull up any trees is a bit daft to be honest.

Kevin Campbell In Hospital “Seriously Ill”

Best loan player to have ever graced Filbert Street. Always thought he single-handedly prolonged Pleat's time with us. Standing ovation on all four sides of the ground on his goodbye lap of honour when his loan ended. -
Surprised he hasn't got his usual cup of coffee that he used to come out with as well.
-
The hype about this chap is borderline laughable.

Martin O’Neill.
