  1. Out of curiosity, as a championship club would you take Frank Lampard?
  2. The owners playing dirty tactics with regards to his future despite knowing he wants out so he’s doing the same in return. Personally I don’t think you can blame the guy.
  3. £3.4m I have it at.
  4. So it appears we are going to be shopping in the free agent market. I think the positions that could be invested in this summer are - Back up keeper - Centre back - Left back - Holding midfielder - Attacking midfielder - Striker Anyone got their eye on a few players that are freebies in those positions?
  5. If we can sell Vesty, Coady & Faes then we’ve had a miracle window. Sign Mepham and Darling as free agents and it’ll leave you Mepham, Darling, Okoli, Nelson & Souttar Instant improvement for no cost, sadly I can’t see Vesty leaving.
  6. 45% wage cut do you mean?
  7. Out of curiosity where did you get these figures from? I did similar around a month ago but have quiet a few differences to yours? Hermansen - £3.9m on the books Faes - £6m on the books Okoli - £10.4m on the books Coady - £2.8m on the books Kristensen - £8.5m on the books Soumare - £3.4m on the books Skipp - £16m on the books Winks - £3.3m on the books El Khannous - £15.75m on the books Mavididi - £3.8m on the books Fatawu - £11.2m on the books Ayew - £2.5m on the books Daka - £4.6m on the books paying £40m annually on fee’s.
  8. Odd if true as if I’m correct his book value is £10.4m?
  9. From a financial perspective we need him to!
  10. Had many dealings with him when he was academy director, absolute tool back then. Not many had a good word to say about him apart from the parents who bowed down to him. He hated any player or parent questioning any decisions he made and would give special treatment to the ones who again bowed down to him. Sound familiar?
  11. The real question is, what decision did you make?
  12. Genuinely hate this narrative. I guarantee there is a lot of managers that would love a gig at managing us. If you can’t get Into the premier league your next best bet is the bottom 3 that just got relegated.
  13. The fact a new manager is being discussed tells me he’s going no where. You would think a new DOF would want a say in a new manager.
  14. If true we should be all over this. Take the hit now, rather than the possibility of setting us up in a even harder situation when the day comes that we go back up to the prem.
  15. So how have they all of a sudden decided we did breach when previously cleared then? Am I missing something?
  16. This is where I’m at, are we being recharged for the same financial year we just cleared or a separate one? because if it’s the same year, I think we have a high success rate of winning the appeal if I’m being honest.
  17. Just to be clear what season did we just clear charges for 22/23? But now being penalised for 23/24, I’m getting lost in years with so many charges. Also, fully expect this to impact our managerial decision for next year now, the same way it did at the beginning of this year with many managers not willing to come to us due to the looming points deduction.
  18. I would love to know how much we breached by. I could moan about the board but we all share the same view at least I hope we do. The one this does scream though is the premier league got embarrassed and want to embarrass the club first in return with their new rules. As others have stated there seems to be quiet an obvious argument in return that the new rule change stated “moving forward” not that it can charge historic prior to the rule change.
  19. And as I stated in my original post, on the ball yes your points are true, but off the ball I honestly don’t believe that is the case. He talks about fitness implying we aren’t fit enough to play the high press he wants yet completely dropped McAteer for several weeks when you could argue his best quality is his work rate. Then to replace him with Ayew who can’t be arsed half the time. That’s not fitness that’s decision making. I actually love the standards Ruud sets, it’s old school and refreshing. However, what he states and what gets shown in his decision making and the play on the pitch are completely different and shouldn’t be ignored. Implementing a solid defensive structure and a good press can be implemented at any level of football, I just don’t buy it.
  20. Respectfully at what point do you and your employer move you out of the spotlight, most wouldn’t even be arsed if he moved position as long as he isn’t in charge of running the football club and making the decisions he’s making.
  21. I had a similar conversation with someone at the game yesterday, for me I think Ruud gets excused at times as a result of the poor transfer window. With the time Ruud has had he should have been able to implement a style/identity. On the ball the lack of recruitment can effect how Ruud wants to play, however, off the ball this is where a manager can lay the ground works prior to getting the players he feels he needs. Off the ball we’ve been atrocious. The press has been poor, the structure in midfield has been poor and the shape of the backline until recently was very poor. All these factors for me are something a manager can implement in the time frame Ruud has had.
  22. Would be more interested in Daniel Ballard of the two Sunderland centre backs personally, but it’s interesting that we appear to be monitoring the free agent market. It’s about time we did.
