  1. Let’s hope we are not paying all his wages. You can’t complain about having zero cash and then dropping 70k a week on a fellow strugglers cast-offs. 70k a week should get you 3 quality players at a this level
  2. Yes only because he’d actually make us hard to beat. He knows a lot of the squad Would mean Winks and Vesty every game. least worst option as with all things LCFC
  3. Hopefully we’ll sign an actual striker rather than someone who can play there. Hopefully a player who just wants to work hard and play football - which is an improvement over half our squad
  4. Football can at times be too clever for its own good. Look at Carrick - will it last, probably not but he has the players making an effort and playing a system they are more comfortable with. I think his big decision is what to do with Winks given the injuries we have. Hopefully by the end of the window he’ll have a striker.
  5. We do have quite a lot of control over PSR in that we threw massive contracts at players. A striker on loan in my view is worth whatever increment in expense as even if we breach PSR this year we can point to all the outs as us doing our best to limit spending. We have signed a player for a fee this year - that is pretty incredible. while any future breach is more black and white, the points deduction will reflect the manner of the breach. based on what we’ve done this year any points deduction should be small
  6. We need a striker. PSR might be a constraint but there is a difference between a PSR loss and cash out the door. Parachute payments are still pretty significant in year 2 and we’ll have moved on probably our top 5 earners (Winks, Soumane, Daka, Ricardo, Bilal). We’ll have money from the likely sale of Abdul also. We will have the budget for a striker and we clearly need one.
  7. Yup but hopefully someone else (anyone else) will take him next season.
  8. As long as we are not relegated this season is transition. players I can get behind next season: Nelson, Monga, Page, James, then some of youth players on loan. Abdul will go players I’m neutral on: Mavi, BDR, Skipp, Jacub Wild cards as they have been injured so long I’ve forgotten about them: Soutttar, Kristiansen We’ll be down to the bare bones so at least there has to be fresh signings to change the dynamic of the squad. Vesty, Faes and Hamza are all overpaid and need to be loaned out (I’m sure there are more!)
  9. I’m not defending him and our last 3 managers have been awful but the players (and their massive contracts) shoulder a lot of blame also. This squad is simply toxic - would any manager really want to take the risk with us - especially if we have stopped throwing money around. Even next season there will still be the likes of Faes, Vesty, Hamza, Skipp Kristianson - all players I suspect are on far too much money. it’s a big rebuild
  10. We have the option so unless we loan him out, he starts next season with us. If we are in the playoffs next season around Jan, then he could stay. if there is a good offer and he does go, then at the very least we will have made some good money.
  11. He’s coming back next season isn’t he
  12. You can’t release him though in that he has a contract that would need to be paid up. loaning a player out (in this Monaco) means that someone is covering the players wages. Same for a free transfer. For the amortisation, think of it as paying off his transfer fee over the life of his contract - in Woet’s case about £3m a year. If he goes permanently for free you are effectively paying what is remaining at the point he leaves us.
  13. My basic numbers are around £3m amortisation a year and £2.6m wages a year saved. With 2 years left on his contract. His book value is about £6m So broadly net neutral P&L to get him gone for free.
  14. Don’t care about the fee just get him gone.
  15. Looked good from the flashes I’ve seen and would only get better with regular games. Made of glass though so another one I’m not overly bothered about
  16. Enzo don’t really play fullbacks, pre Enzo we had Ricardo, Justin, Castagne and Kristiansen. The flip flopping in terms of playing style can’t help with squad building. we’ve only really signed Woyo post Enzo, handed a big contract to Thomas and then realised how bad all of our fullback are!
  17. In 4 years time….
  18. If we get Enzo back - Vesty, Winks and Faes will all be in the team. Winks will also then be given a new 10 year contract…. As rubbish as it all is, it’s a no from me.
  19. I’m impressed that the pigs in blankets and booze is out in force pre 8am. Christmas Day family argument, rolling into ashes further capitulation rounded off by an insipid LCFC performance. At least we have Stranger Things to keep our spirits up. A demogorgan might shake up our strike force. Red card waiting to happen though.
  20. We are not going to give him a long contract. I’d rather have him until the end of the season and send Carranza back. Not many out of contract 20 year old world beaters around.
  21. Skipp, Hamza, Tnomas, Vesty, Faes will boss League One. By boss I mean find their level
  22. If that CV is real then we are an absolute joke. Any Board with a degree of integrity would veto the appointment or step down. Football clubs are not overly complicated and not really that big from a revenue perspective but you still need some industry expertise or leadership experience,
  23. As others have said the benefit of BDCR starting is Skipp out the team. Abdul, Mavi, BDCR is probably our best front 3 with Monga, Page and Silko Thomas off the bench. We need a striker on Jan 1st
  24. We hadn’t signed Skipp by then….
  25. Personally don’t see Nelson and Monga moving on quite yet if they are playing regularly. they could both go to somewhere like Chelsea but they would be back out on loan almost immediately. that said a good offer for either and I think they are gone.
