  1. I'm not saying I'm not happy with our league position and results but can anyone genuinely say that most of our games are exciting? Of course, we just want to get out of this league ASAP and it's the results that matter. But there is no way we can all say that the football we play is exciting or entertaining. It can be at times when we click, pass the ball quickly and with purpose and cut teams open. We are capable of doing this but we don't do it often enough and in many games we seem laboured. It's always a worry when we are winning 1-0 and we drop off and allow the opposition back into games as we have a terrible habit of conceding sloppy late goals. Some of these have cost us, some haven't
  2. Again, as you did in your first reply, you've taken my comments completely out of context. I said, it was crap that we dropped tempo for most of the first half. We weren't 3-1 up at ht. The result was good. The league standing and points tally is amazing. The quality of the football for long periods of games isn't. That's my point.
  3. As I said, nobody expects us to play at a high tempo for 90 mins, but completely taking our foot off the gas and dropping tempo for 25 mins of the 1st half yesterday was crap. Swansea are utterly appalling and we had them on the ropes, totally shell shocked, making mistakes all over the pitch and then we just stopped and let them back in the game. Given our record of conceding late goals, it's understandable that it is frustrating when we are winning 1-0 and then just totally drop off. Of course, the result in the end was great yesterday, as they have been for most of the season but we run the risk of dropping more points if we keep giving confidence and momentum to the opposition rather than getting games done and dusted early. Of course, if our finishing had been better yesterday we'd have been 3-0 up at ht and this thread probably wouldn't have even been here.
  4. I can understand his frustrations but I also understand why some fans get frustrated. Our league position, points tally and results is magnificent and there is no doubting that. The problem is that we do have periods of games where its just really dull like 15-40 minutes yesterday against Swansea. Started great for 15 mins, had a nice Sunday stroll for the next 25 mins and then came back good again for the last 5 of the half. Of course nobody is expecting peak barce levels for 90 minutes but I feel we seem to drop tempo at key points in games allowing the opposition to grow in confidence. We missed some glaring chances yesterday but after having Swansea on the ropes for the opening 15, we then just strolled around and allowed them back into the game instead of just steam rollering them and having the game won by ht. The sloppy late goals we concede also pisses people off as its been a constant for most of the season. We conceded some pathetic goals from just switching off in the final 10 minutes. The expectations are very high because of the results we've had and because the players have played at an exceptional level for the majority of the season. I do feel Enzo has over reacted a little here. Every stadium and every fan base has a small minority of people that moan and groan but its not worth threatening to walk out over. Whilst I like Enzo and appreciate what he's done turning us around in such a short period of time, nobody is bigger than this club so if he doesn't want to be here he can go. We have just had 12 months of a manager who didn't want to be here, and that caused us to be in the mess we found ourselves in.
  5. Well they are the greatest team the championship has ever seen
  6. I think this most weeks as this league is tripe, but we've got to be beating these. Just need to cut out the silly mistakes and stop dropping the tempo when we have the opposition on the ropes. Go for the jugular, we know we need at least a 2 goal lead heading into the last 10 mins
  7. Pathetic to concede a goal against this shower. Good job it didn't matter this time
  8. Finally at a scoreline it should be at. These are absolutely horrific. I'd go as far as to say, these are the worst team we've played all season and if it wasn't for complacency and poor finishing, we could have had 6/7 here
  9. That was never a pen but we've had some bad decisions go against us recently so swings and roundabouts
  10. That's a terrible decision to book KDH for that. 1st foul of the game and barely anything in it. Grinds my gears when refs are so inconsistent with cards
  11. Agreed but we don't have the finances to have top players as back up for every position. Next season, we absolutely will need more options
  12. Like the one who's suspended tonight?
  13. We are incredibly frustrating to watch. Dominate opening 15 and could have been 2 up, do absolutely nothing from 15-40 and then could have scored another 2 just before half time. Why do we drop the tempo so much when we are in control and dominating. We had Swansea on the ropes and then just backed off and decided to fck around at the back for 20 minutes. We've had so many warnings this season that 1 goal leads aren't enough and here we are again just having a Sunday morning stroll for half of the first half.
  14. Someone let Ornstein know that KDH has scored on his Brighton debut
  15. Hopefully nothing serious then, but if we are going to give him a rest, this is the type of game to do it in. Ideally, we wouldn't have needed him against Birmingham if the team that started weren't utterly abysmal in the first half.
  16. Justin did get a knock against Birmingham, was a late challenge on him by one of their Cloggers. Could be something to do with that hopefully, as that would more likely be an impact injury rather than a muscle injury.
  17. Disagree. If he was younger then absolutely but given his age, injury record and wages, if we have him next season and he ends up injured and we end up relegated again, we could still have him on our wage bill in the championship. Its things like this that have stung us before and why we ended up in the mess we are
  18. After Praet and now Kristiansen, we need to stop dealing with Italian clubs. We always have an option to buy which they clearly are never going to take up, even if they do well, as none of them have a pot to piss in. Yes we'll agree to an option to buy for £14m but when it comes to it, we'll offer you £2m. Same with Turkish clubs, no money so no chance of getting a decent fee out of them for any signings. It seems the only teams outside the prem that have money are the Saudis and the European cartel of Real, Barce, Bayern and PSG.
  19. Good that we've only given him a contract until next summer given his injury record. If he does well and stays fit, we could look to extend it
  20. I only watched the first half, so I assume Swansea must have improved 2nd half
  21. Need to win this. Swansea are awful and Southampton absolutely destroyed them last week. Rested our key players today so no excuses, should be a comfortable win
  22. He scored a worldie against Wigan earlier in the season in the efl trophy.
  23. Hmsptc is back going after nearly hitting an iceberg in the first half. Play a reserve team, get dominated, 3 shots 3 goals, absolutely taking the piss. Does show yet again though, that the attacking/finishing standards in the championship are absolutely honking!
