Teams like Preston with very limited players are scoring goals. This league really is dross and Marti needs to take the handbrake off. Bringing skipp on to defend a 1-0 lead at home to Wrexham is sheer negligence. But even before the last half hour shit show, we didn't create anything and same against WBA. I can't work it out. We have better players than most of this league but can't create any chances. Some onus on the players but alot is on Marti. I couldn't give a fck about possession. 70% possession with 1 shot and a 1-1 draw is garbage. Give me 40% possession, several shots on target and score a few goals and day of the week. One thing that does hamper us though is that 95% of teams in this league will park the bus and that's something we've often struggled to deal with.

I'm honestly sick to death of the "Pep style" possession, keep ball nonsense. It's boring as fck and clearly just doesn't work anymore. Rodgers tried it and succeeded at first and then failed miserably. Enzo did it well but even at times in that season we were awful to watch, and now he's struggling at Chelsea. Pep has had amazing success but Man C have massively lost their way and he's showing no signs of turning it round. I'm not saying revert to neanderthal hoof ball football but I can't stand managers that are so obsessed with having 70% possession but creating nothing and barely scoring. So boring to watch.

This team is miles better than most at this level. Not one single Wrexham player would even make our squad, they are an utterly dreadful side. We've only played one decent team so far and that's Coventry. You need 2 points a game average for autos and that's before the points deduction and we are currently way off that. The results are one thing but the performances don't show any signs of the results improving. 2 shots on target against WBA and Wrexham is just completely unacceptable. How ironic that if Ward was fit today, we wouldn't have even tested him.
