Most disliked has got to be Rodgers. Despite winning us our first fa cup, I'd defy any true leicester fan to tell me how they don't dislike Rodgers given the way he acted and the damage he did. The disrespect he showed our club and our fans was a different level to anything ever seen before.
-
Regardless of what happened between him and RVN and whether he feels he's been treated badly by the club or the fans etc, he needs to sort his head out and play. He hasn't got a move this summer so he's likely to leave for free next summer but between now and then he's needs to sort himself out. We don't see him in training or in and around the dressing room etc, we only see the way he is on the pitch and his body language etc but the fact Marti hasn't been starting him shows there is clearly an issue. I'm just glad we've strengthened the midfield with Ramsey and James so we don't have to be so reliant on Winks. He is still our best midfielder but only if his head is in it. I'd genuinely rather start Soumare and/or Skipp than a mardy Winks

This topic has shown that there are very few managers that seem well liked amongst our fan base for varying reasons. The only former managers (from my lifetime) that seem liked by most are O'Neill, Pearson and Ranieri. I don't think anyone could dislike Micky Adams or Shakespeare either to be fair, but neither had the same success that previous 3 did.
-
I'm not saying it is any reflection of JJ as he's a miles better player than Sheehan.
-
Yeh fair enough
-
I can only assume he's not fully match fit, cos why on earth would Josh Sheehan start ahead of him? He doesn't even start every week in a poor Bolton team
-
Taylor was terrible and destroyed everything O' Neill had built. Holloway was dreadful as well and Cooper and RVN. I still always come back to Rodgers though. He may not be our worst, especially as he won us our first ever fa cup and got us our 2 highest finishes (other than 15-16) but the way he acted in his final season here will always leave a bitter taste. The likes of Taylor etc were all terrible managers but they all tried their best but ultimately weren't good enough. Nobody can even say Rodgers tried in that final season, he actively sabotaged us as he'd thrown his toys out the pram because he wasn't given any money. Let's not forget it's him and his mate congerton that played a huge part in the club being where it is now, and we have been set back years as a result. Top and Rudkin are ultimately to blame for our demise but Rodgers has blood on his hands and his stench is still lingering over the Club now! I genuinely detest that horrible little cretin and that is a crazy thing to say about the manager that won us our first fa cup.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

There is an International break in November but he could still miss up to 5 games if he's selected and we allow him to play. I suppose it will depend on how much he's playing for us and whether he'd rather be playing for us or them. I'd say he gets more experience and development playing in our team than in England's u17s but he may not want to miss out on the u17 wc and now we've signed Ramsey, James and Carranza he might not play as much -
Ah makes sense
-
Agreed. The only player we should sign would be a striker. Not many decent free agents around though unfortunately
-
Does this guy actually want to play football? Leaves a team that has just been promoted to the prem even though they offered him a new contract and has apparently rejected a few other offers. Does he think Real, Barce and PSG are going to be coming in for him? Very strange!
-
Yes especially as the Ivanovic deal could have been amortised over his contract so we wouldn't have had to pay £10m up front, so long as Millwall agreed to it like that.
-
It's not about motivating Daka. He's just not a very good player. He seems a decent guy and always seems like he works hard and gives his all but he's just not good enough
-
His contract is up next summer so nobody is going to buy him in January

Leicester to appoint Martyn Glover as head of senior recruitment.

A bit harsh he has some very good qualities that he has brought to the club over the years. I've listed them below for you..... -
-
Thats ridiculous. Better to reduce the price and make some money than make nothing at all. It does show that whilst the club have shown some competency in the transfer market by reducing wages and selling players etc, we really are papering over the cracks of a very poorly run organisation. It always seems like one step forward 2 steps back with this lot

Our strongest 11 now we know our squad.

I think as a fanbase, we are understandably cautious as things haven't been great for us recently but the standard in the championship genuinely is pretty poor. The biggest concern is striker and we are all hoping carranza turns out well as we know Daka and Ayew won't be scoring loads. We do have plenty of goals in the team though and I'd expect Fatawu, Mavididi and James to score a fair few so rather than us relying on one player to score 20 plus, I'd imagine the goals will get shared across the team. -
Prob be better than Skipp
-
Just re read it and you're correct. But even including Souttar it's only 21 players. No worries at all
-
Interesting as my understanding was that Jordan James wouldn't need including as he only turned 21 in July.
-
Stolarczyk Begovic Ricardo Hamza L.Thomas Kristiansen Faes Souttar Vestergaard Okoli Soumare Winks James Skipp Ramsey Mavididi Reid Wanya Daka Carranza Ayew That's 21 over 21 players The efl rules state that anyone who was under 21 at the start of the calender year does not get included in the 25 man squad Bausor Nelson Aluko Page Golding S. Thomas Fatawu Monga Evans

Can't see it. We've added Carranza and Ramsey now into the attacking areas plus we have BDCR to come back and as much as he's not particularly rated by the fans, I'd imagine he's more likely to be on the bench than Silko. We probably should have loaned him out again
