Haven’t seen enough of him to have a strong opinion of him as a player but Silko Thomas is easily in the club’s top 5 greatest names of all time.

I’ve always wanted Kasey to succeed, he’s an honest, hard-working and humble player in a squad full of utterly unlikable characters. And unlike most of his teammates, he showed he cares about the club. That said, I also really hoped he would have used this offseason to work on his ability to beat defenders on the dribble — that is going to hold him back if he continues to play on the wing. I don’t understand why we haven’t tried him as a number 9 with Ayew and Daka being our current options. Still, I would not turn down a decent offer and I’d gladly accept the fee while wishing him well.

I know he was injured but he played fewer than half of games that season and we were fine without him. We lack pace in our back line, Doyle won’t improve that weakness.

Atrocious that this kid has every chance to become the best talent we’ve ever developed and we’re surrounding him with the most disgusting group of senior pros imaginable.

That’s what’s being suggested on the thread, I didn’t pin that on Winks. But that is the case, then so be it. Also “some players” doesn’t mean “Harry Billy Winks, born on the 2nd of February, 1996.” 😜

You’re not making much of a point, though. Everyone knows how good he can be and is. And we all knew how much of a loss he was— hell, we even got a preview of it during his last season with us. Winks will be a big loss too. Some players just want to be somewhere else and there’s nothing wrong with fans wanting them gone, even if we can’t replace the quality of their best moments.

If anyone here really believes Youri gave us 100% in his last season here, please DM me about the bridge in Brooklyn I have for sale.

We cannot keep underperforming players at those wages. Sell and rebuild the squad, even if it takes a couple of seasons in the Championship.
