Fan Zone Trial Begins At King Power Stadium
ElusiveEd replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Sorry to digress from the main topic but does anyone know of anywhere, other than the few episodes on YouTube, where Phoenix Nights can be viewed now? I have the box sets on DVD somewhere but don't own a DVD player anymore and can't find a site that shows or streams them. -

You must've been next to us then. Scruffy looking tw@ts in Row 12? They were directly in front of me and my son with the one who kept putting his arms up, nearly knocking one of the 4 the Asian guys next to him head around, starting the song multiple times. At least 1 of the Asian guys, if not all 4, were Liverpool fans. The one who def was had a Liverpool FC badge home screen on his phone. How did I know?....The twat just kept videoing big chunks of the game on it! FFS!

If Rudkin had anything about him he would put him on performance related pay. We'd be quids in !

Don't put yourselves through this game. Let myself and my son take the pain and misery for you by relieving you of those 2 tickets you are undecided on.

Often seen a a car en-route to away games with the number plate F8XES In real life it looks more like he sells fax machines than it does being a Leicester City fan.
-
The trouble is we have a team/squad that just "Play for Leicester City" Other than JV (and maybe Fatawu who seems to be loving life here) I don't think we have a single player left that would run thro brick walls for this club.
-
No mate. We are in block P right next to the away fans and they sang it around 3 times thro the second half. Our fans sang it once sarcastically when he managed to save the ball going out of play.
-
Says something when the away fans were laughing and singing "Danny, Danny Ward...... Danny, Danny Ward"
-
If, after yesterdays debacle at Newcastle, you have decided you can't be doing with away days anymore will you consider selling your tickets for this one? After 2, 1 could be an under 16. Cheers.

2 needed if any going spare. Cheers

Nope, you presume wrong. On the rare occasion I didn't have to drive I'd enjoy a few beers, a few more than my bladder can hold these days. Multiple visits to the gents only to see the same group gathered around the watching the game on the concourse screens. I think they engage in game betting so maybe that's why. 1 of em I used to know back in the day. I think it's more than a social event for him than a football match. Damn expensive one but it's up to him/them I guess but I just don't get it.
-
I've seen people spend the whole game on the concourse having pint after pint, chatting and keeping up with the game on the screens. Not even going to their seats! I just don't get it!
-
If anyone has 2 spare for this I'll gladly relieve you of them. Please PM me if you can help. Cheers.

And this is how you tell if it's in calf.

My Bold. Not sure who is! It was a hugely differing fan profile at the game. Beforehand, outside, it did seem like a Tigers rugby, middle class, Mkt Harboroughite types who all, in the end, contributed to the atmosphere. It was when the coaches arrived and a more substantial amount of the crowd arrived and entered the stadium things ramped up. It really took me back to when I used to REALLY enjoy my times at Filbert Street and the early days at the KP. As has already been mentioned, it's the modern day Premier League that, if I'm honest, I don't really enjoy much now but I guess I've just gotta suck it up if I want to carry on supporting my team but yesterday just reminded me so much of how great days at the footy can and could/should be.
-
Youâd have thought and expected atmospheres to have grown over time at the KP, itâs supposed to be the Premier League, the best league in the worldâŠ..apparently but they have regressed so far that itâs probably never coming back. Being surpassed by a one off event by a club 7 tiers away from the Prem with a comparatively tiny proportion of what we get at the KP is surely something to make us realise how sanitised and awful itâs become.

Iâve put this in the Harborough Town FA Cup thread but thought it deserved posting it in here too as after witnessing what it was like today I canât help but wonder WTF have KP done to our club. Todayâs support puts LCFC to shame and it reflected on the pitch too. Those boys played with heart, fight, determination and an utter desire to gain success for their club. Shame on you KP/LCFC. Weâve just got back from a weekend darn saaaf. Brentford yesterday, hotel overnight and The Harbs game today. Today was one of THE BEST ends weâve been in for a long long time. Non stop singing, loud, vocal and just incredible Absolute scenes and limbs at every goal and The Bees should be massively proud of themselves today. it seriously puts into perspective the shit dross that has become the KP experience. A huge one off event today but Iâd take half of that support every day of the week against what I normally have to suffer. Massive Massive reps to every one of the 3000+ fans that made it the occasion it was and a huge well done to Harborough Town. You did the club and town proud.
