In all seriousness, though, I think you'd have to have a pretty limited understanding of football as an actual game with tactics and strategies to watch Leicester and think that Cooper was qualified to be coaching a team in the Premier League. Our failings aren't about the players not quite getting it or making individual mistakes or needing time to gel. Our failings are poor tactical decision making from the ground up.

I love it when foxestalk throws up threads like this to remind you that people on the internet will argue about literally anything for the sake of it.

**** right off. Really doesn't require a lot of searching pal.

Eh. Even we (Wales fans) find Johnson a little over hyped and frustratingly inconsistent. You'd think a Tottenham speed merchant would be the first name on the team sheet but we're probably better off with the Ipswich rotation option, the Bournemouth bench warmer and the Leeds impact sub which says a lot. Johnson could only dream of the consistent rate of return that Barnes put up in the Prem. His numbers for a player outside the top six were immense, it's crazy how under rated he was even by his own support.

I was a huge WoW fiend from launch (my guild moved to it from Ultima Online, OG nerds) to just before Cata. Like, guild & raid leader, only game I played, barely logged off, took over my life fiend for a while. Went back for my nostalgia kick around late BFA / early SL and found the game crazy different. Stuck it out for maybe 3 or 4 months but, yeah. Never go back. I've since tried FFXIV but it only briefly scratched that itch. My biggest current guilty pleasure is probably Warframe. Nowhere near the scale of addiction as WoW but 600+ hrs logged on steam (in multiple spells.)

Wouldn't surprise me if he's more popular in the squad than you think. JJ and VK are back playing in their preferred positions, Ayew and BDCR are likely smart enough and experienced enough to know an actual progressive manager drops them immediately, Vards is playing and scoring, cheerleader Coady seems to have no expectation of playing he just wants to hang around with the lads. Plus, he's just a reasonably likeable human being. He won over most of the fans that went to the Q&A just by being humble and relatable. They probably like him as a human being.

Let's be honest, we aren't sacking him this early. We should, we absolutely should. But we'll think we're being sensible to keep him and give him time. He could probably get to November without a win and still keep his job.

Swaps for Ayew at half time

Mads JJ, Okoli, Faes, Coady, VK Hamza, Winks, Skipp Ndidi Ayew

Just accept it boys, we've pissed off the Premier League. We aren't getting any more marginal VAR calls this year
-
Exactly, man. The amount of auditory damage he's done to the planet, I'd rather be sponsored by Gazprom.

Can tell someone didn't get to watch Bellersball

"Despite the results, United are not expected to breach the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules because not all spending goes against their calculations and clubs can claim allowances known as 'add backs'." BBC.

I'd expect them to plateau in the Championship but I'm sure they'd be fairly pleased with that to be honest, it's been an insane rise even with investment.

Oh shit When @Stadt said removing weight from the game I thought he meant stripping features and bloat from Football Manager to accommodate new features. Not literally removing weight as a stat for players My reply must have seemed odd. Weight is pretty redundant in FM though tbf.

He's definitely a guy who wouldn't have anywhere near the social media following if he was of sound mental health.

Both. Australian rugby has been in collapse for quite a while where as Argentina are one of the most improved rugby playing nations, if not the most improved, of the last ten or fifteen years.
-
Tbf we've only gone progressively down hill since then, so if I'm looking for cause and effect..
-
I guess I can comfort myself knowing that about 287 of those were just snide shitposts

Jesus christ. When I look at some of those moany twats I'm lumped in with I'm really evaluating my life choices.

Yeah and to be clear, I don't actually care how big a ***** you are, nobody deserves to the victim of institutional racism or police brutality. But holy shit what a scumbag Tyreek Hill is. The NFL harbours more of them than maybe any other sport.
-
I doubt De la Rocha would be the first in line to defend a known domestic abuser who has a history of strangling his partners and breaking his toddler's limbs tbf. Not to minimise the very genuine issue of American police brutality (and racism), but a lot of people would take the opportunity to stick one on Hill.

I've previously used the title win to defend Rudkin but, in fairness, a decent amount of that side was identified and signed before he started in the role and I'm pretty sure I remember there being friction between himself and the Pearson-Walsh double act? Moreover, I think recent history has demonstrated that Rudkin gives an enormous amount of freedom to the head coach and head of recruitment to dictate transfer philosophy meaning the building of any particular squad (for good or bad) is probably more out of his control than it should be. I guess that makes him equal parts pointless as much as useless? themightyrudfin will have you believe that's fine though because, after all, nobody knows what a Director of Football is meant to do anyway!
