  1. He is meant to hold width yes. Obviously he's also meant to attack the box when play is down the other side but he's not always going to get the balance 100% right, he's been playing Enzoball for less than 10 games what's the expectation here? And he's been in positions to have more or less open goals several times this season and been ignored by his team mates let's not forget. I was a bit harsh on him yesterday, thought he fluffed a few chances at the far post. Actually on watching them back I think he does alright really, lays one off first time to KDH which was the right choice, another the angle wasn't there for the first time left foot shot and two defenders both threw themselves in the way when he got it on his right, keeper made a great reaction save for another. Think he got a bit unlucky. Mark is right in that sometimes his passing can be a bit loose but I think you have to be philosophical about it. If he had Winks passing on top of his pace, dribbling, movement et all he wouldn't be here. There's a reason he didn't make it at Arsenal and Juventus. Equally, though, you can see what they saw in him. He's one of the first names on the team sheet imo.
  2. I wouldn't say Wilf's, I'd say Enzo's and if we're talking everyone that was skeptical that Ndidi could be coached to be a major positive force for ball progression (especially with dribbling like a Brazilian winger as his stand out attribute) then 99% of the forum would be out there on Maresca's drive, probably including you if you've got the honesty to admit it. I'm a big fan of Wilf, I've advocated for him a lot, I've never been keen on us getting rid of him and I've thought plenty of times that if someone backs him to play to his strengths we'd still get a tune out of him. Even through that lens I thought it was absurd playing him as a "mezzala" though and it was extremely frustrating in pre season watching all of our best chances fall to him. It didn't look smart then and it didn't look smart in any of the first few games of the season. Seemed like only a matter of time before Casadei would be starting. Anyone that says they ever anticipated Ndidi putting in the performance he did yesterday is straight up lying. He had his opposite number on toast, put in a dribbling master class, was even pulling out the party tricks towards the end of the game and played by far the best pass of the match when he slotted in Fatawu behind the full back for what would have been an assist for a 26 year old Vardy. Finding quotes from people that were dubious with us deploying Ndidi in attack isn't a great gotcha. You might as well quote someone in December 2014 saying we'd never win the Premier League and laugh at them as if you fvcking predicted it.
  3. He's a mandatory for Usyk now isn't he? Can't see him taking step aside money, it's pretty big for China if he does well, I'm sure he's got plenty of backers back home.
  4. He was always massively over rated wasn't he. No doubt he's got a ridiculous chin but when you're that slow and your whole gimmick is relying on your durability to keep walking people down, eventually you're going to meet a guy powerful enough to cause you real harm. That's what's happened with Zhang. Now everyone's going to over hype Zhang and make him out to be the next big thing until he gets battered by someone elite. I watched him fight Hrgovic in the fight before Joyce and he was woeful (they both were tbf.) So Joyce has the same career now he always did. He can keep plodding along fighting guys beating most of the division and getting paid. He's just never going to be a proper champion but that's alright, not everyone can be.
  5. What the fvck was that O'Keefe. SA literally had the ball in hand. How is it not out Well done Ireland though. Big win.
  6. That celebration was top tier
  7. Fvck the goal, show the celebration
  8. I've often heard Bristol described as the Paris of West Country tbf
  9. I'd say this sums up my first impressions. Was expecting Adama Traore on crack, he's actually extremely sensible in possession. Absolutely demolished his full back today it was almost criminal.
  10. Love that someone replaced Wilf today with Prime Ronaldinho. Disappointed with our left, thought KDH and Stephy were underwhelming. Mavididi looked a bit like when you make a mistake or two and you let it get to you. His confidence seemed to drop a bit, his passing and shooting started to look hesitant. AFI was class though. Be hard to leave him out the team I think. Think we still need Mavididi’s pace and dribbling on the counter but otherwise I'd be having AFI right and McAteer left after today, give stephy a rest.
  11. Abdul Fatawu succesful take ons: yes
  12. He's 100% definitely coming on he's got his kit on and doing an intense warm up. I dont remember Ricky looking hurt so hopefully not that?
  13. JJ is coming on. Please god say Ricky isn't broken.
  14. Jesus fvcking christ, this place
  15. Vardy scored last time he started where as Daka requested to leave. Daka probably might get his time but I'm not sure why people would be expecting it to come yet. Vards hardly looks gassed does he.
  16. Probably a lot to be fair they just likely keep their heads down and just crack on and you'll never know. I work under the assumption most people are fairly decent. Football is just odd, especially in this country, most British footballers (in the Prem at least) are probably millionaires by 22 and even before that they never really had much grasp of reality to ground them that much.
  17. Not with your hairline
  18. Yeah he seems like a fantastic human being tbf
  19. Oh yeah man I got my first one of these decades ago. Some right little oddball used to DM me on here that he knew where I lived off Narborough Road and that he'd seen be about. It was meant to be semi threatening I think. Then he turned up to one of the 11 a side games we organised and I saw him at the bar afterwards. Now anyone that's met me can confirm I'm not the tallest and weighed about 9 stone tops. Yet I'm pretty sure I could have knocked him off with a nudge, dude was like 5'3 on his tip toes. Ridiculous human being. For the life of me can't remember the username now. AOWW kinda knew him I think. Don't drag me in to this shit I haven't seen Woolers in 15/20 odd years or whatever it is. He seemed like a decent sort but you never really know. Only old FTer I see and talk to semi regularly (couple times a season at the ground or away days) is Fez. Almost all of the guys I've met were pretty sound though. Except this massive twat. Deb thinks she's got it bad with some creepy DMs, try being sexually assaulted by Raj.
  20. But in all seriousness it's about the new speed limits. It's 20 national in Wales now. It's caused loads of uproar over the last few weeks.
  21. 15 years is just the stretch from Newport to Cardiff on the m4 at rush hour tbh.
  22. I mean he definitely wasn't a perfect manager, he signed Richie fvcking Wellens.
  23. According to Google, Kasey McAteer is the son of Jason McAteer. This is as true as Tony Yeboah being Ephraim's dad.
