We need 2 new centre mids imo. This chap and O’Riley or similar would be ideal. Cooper tends to play 3 in the middle so will need 5. Winks, Ndidi and Soumare is a good start but Choudhury not up to standard and too early for Braybrooke

I don’t think a premier league club will take Kel. Can see him ending up in Turkey or similar. Pace of PL is too quick for him

Surely, if we’ve been talking to the player/agent we should have a good idea if he’s keen or not. I would like to think that if a players attitude was “I’m happy to sign for you unless x club comes in for me” we would walk away and focus on players who want to be here. Probably naive of me but seems logical

Could have been due to how he was coached and the instructions given by the manager? Worth remembering in his prime he had a motivated Tielemans and Maddison central with him. In the relegation season, Madders was often moved out wide, Tielemans had checked out and KDH/Soumare drifted in and out of form. If he’s sat in front of the defence with the instruction to disrupt/win the ball and give it to Harry I’m confident he can do a job.

Maybe BR overcoached him. He looks to me like a player who does the simple stuff really well and Coops could get a tune out of him. Hope he impresses during pre season

I’d take him if Blackburn would accept no more than about £8m inc addons and a player on loan. Think he would suit us as a number 10 whilst being versatile enough to play up top as well.

Agreed, Cooper likes defenders that can defend. Won’t care about ball playing as much. I think Faes most likely to leave but could well see us stick with the 5 seniors and loan Nelson out (could see him going to Birmingham)
